Smells and tastes great!
My boss walked by one day while I was fixing an electrical problem, stopped and then asked why it smelt like Halloween. My coworkers all pointed at my coffee cup and we had a laugh. It really does smell and taste great.

The BEST
Not going to lie, I was absolutely attracted to the packaging at first (still am). I don't even like flavored coffee all that much but Bones does it right. Their smorey time is SO fragrant and wonderful, that alone gives them +5 points. Sometimes I think I smell when I drink regular coffee because I'm so conditioned into how freaking good it is. Let's get to the taste. Pre-grind: it's oily. You can see it gleaming as soon as you open the back. Post-grind: surprisingly less fragrant but still good. I use a V60 pourover for my coffee and this done beautifully in it. Not sure if I would recommend a french press - it may darken it too much that it begins to taste smokey instead of graham-crackery. It's not too heavy on body either which compliments the flavors well. I And yes, it does have a smores profile to it. It's kind of bizarre how well it does as a coffee flavor, and I actually don't think it's as sweet as other reviewers. But I don't drink a lot of flavored coffee to know if it is in comparison. Compared to other online coffee (Blue Bottle for instance), this is miles above. Sure, you're not getting notes and top notes and bottom notes of grapefruit or cherry (I have no idea with some of these coffee companies) but it's simple and enjoyable. I won't even bother touching the rest of my other coffee beans (goodbye Philz) and I'll be purchasing all the other flavors soon. Bones has solidified itself in my household as a staple. I love it!

Good, but Pricey
This was my first bag of Bones coffee. I bought a French press and wanted something high quality to test it out. I really liked the flavor of this— very marshmallowy. It tastes a little smoky too, like you roasted marshmallows over a fire. It’s also super smooth. It doesn’t leave a bitter aftertaste like a lot of cheaper brands do. However, I still can’t justify the price being nearly double what I’d pay for a good local brand. It tastes better from the French press, but still pretty good out of my drip machine. Also the flavors come out more when it’s served cold. I’d recommend as a gift or if you want to splurge, but honestly it’s not leaps and bounds better than other brands I’ve tried. It is a few dollars cheaper on Bones’ website, but the price evens out if you have Prime and don’t need to pay shipping. I was worried the beans sold on Amazon would be stale, but they came fresh and nearly a year before the expiration date.
