Best headphones for me
This is my 4th pair of these headphones. The original ones from 5 years ago and are still working perfectly fine. I then bought a pair of wireless buds but after a week went back to the pioneer as they are much more comfortable and stay around your neck. I then bought this model and was even more impressed with sound quality and battery life. I cannot fault these and for this price they are amazing. I would highly recommend these to anyone. Battery will easily last all day.

lasted a few days over a year
Pioneer earphones with a clip and a control for sound and on/off are usually very good, the clips break consistently but otherwise I would buy more simply because the clip makes them potentially usable in most situations. However on this version the battery failed to recharge a few days after the statutory warranty expired so despite the law its no long viable to throw good money after bad trying to get them repaired in accordance with the the legal mantra that the goods must be manufactured to the standard that it is made for. Surely one year is not what anyone expects when they shell out on such items.

High sound quality, long battery life and pleasant to wear all day long
Pioneer is a classic brand for audio-visual equipment that was the best choice for car radio-cassette players and hi-fi separates in the 1980s and plasma screen televisions in the 1990s. They also have a long history of making high quality headphones so I was very interested in these new earphones.Pioneer have solved the challenge of achieving a long battery life in a set of Bluetooth headphones by placing the battery inside a separate clip that can be attached to a shirt collar. This avoids the inconvenience of other solutions such as a neckband. In use, the clip system works well when used actively whilst walking or exercising in the gym. It does keep the wires steady and is hardly noticeable. The clip itself is a little bulky but is lightweight and I found I was unaware of it whilst in use. When I first started using the headphones, there was a really irritating “scratchy” noise as the headphone wires moved around. I then realised that this was due to the paper identification tag that gave details of the name and model number. I removed this with a pair of scissors and all was well.I listened to a wide variety of music ranging from pop, rock and jazz to classical music through the headphones over an extended period. All tests were carried out an iPhone X playing Spotify Premium with music quality set to very high. The headphones are very comfortable to wear: you almost forget that they are in your ears. They give very clear sound reproduction that is a pleasure to listen to for extended periods, which does make them ideal for use whilst performing admin tasks in an office. The soundstage works well, with vocalists and instruments clearly separated. Song lyrics are clearly reproduced: these headphones work particularly well at reproducing treble and mid-ranges. Sound at the bass end of the spectrum is less pronounced so those wanting a loud, thumping bass for dance music should look elsewhere. The quality of sound through these headphones is on a par with far more expensive over ear headphones, which is impressive. The headphone give a reasonable sound output but I found myself using them at or near to maximum volume most of the time. At this level, there was no audible distortion which was good.I then tested passive sound isolation by using them to listen to a Netflix movie whilst sitting on a noisy tube train. I was able to enjoy the movie soundtrack without being disturbed by extraneous sound. The headphones do have a great battery life and I found that I did not need to charge them despite listening to them for a whole day’s office work. The main USP of these headphones is that they are extremely small to store and fit in your pocket. All headphones of this type are fairly vulnerable to damage and I was disappointed that they didn’t come with a simple pouch for storage. In summary, these are a pleasure to use for long periods of time and give high quality, sound reproduction with a neutral response. Yet another great hi-fi product from Pioneer.

Full review
Out of the box there are 3 different sized buds in order to get the correct fit for your ears. The usb for charging is on the clip in the middle of the wire, this clip can attach to your clothes, is a permanent feature and can't be adjusted. The usb is standard 2.0. Although there is one provided, it's not very long so I ended up using my own and had no problems charging. There is a small red light on the side of the clip to show charging that turns blue when completed. There is a safety guide and a set-up guide in the box. Both are written in 8 languages on A3 sized paper and not a booklet. The font is very small and might be difficult to read.To pair with the headphones you need to ensure they are switched off and your phone is in pairing mode. In the middle of the increase and decrease volume button is a third button for pairing, pausing and on/off. Press this button until a light at the side of the 'clip' flashes red and blue, you are now on pairing mode. The light is very small and I would have preferred a voice telling me I was in pairing mode.Once paired it acts like normal headphones. Short press for volume up /down, long press for skip forwards or backwards in your music list.If you get a phone call the headphones will beep; a short press will answer the call, a long press will refuse the call. A double press will activate siri or Google now.The sound lacks the richer sounds of more expensive headphones and can sound a little tinny on some songs but overall the sound quality is good and blocks out surrounding sound. There is very little 'white noise' that you don't notice unless you are really trying to hear it.I decided to play on an app on my phone to hear if there was any delay.1st the app and the music came through the headphones at the same time which was funny but a bit of an assault on my ears.2nd there was a slight delay with the sound now and then but not consistently.Overall there are a few features that could do with improving but not a bad set of headphones for the price.

Ideal for the sporty
These come across as a bit of an entry level offering from Pioneer, they look and sound OK.They come complete with three bud sizes so you can get the right fit for your ears, they are quick to charge and easy to pair. The addition of the clip makes them ideal for gym work or sports, the clip is easy to fit and you forget its there unless you are to use them while sunbathing on holiday, in that case the clip can be pretty annoying. I also like the braded wires which means no tangles and again aids with comfort. The sound quality is just OK, they can be a bit tinny but the volume and bass seem good. Battery life I’ve had no issue with, I’ve only charged them once and they are still going strong after a number of uses.
