This steamer is labeled commercial, so its size and functionality are considered in this review. I keep it in the garage on that concrete floor because water is in the unit's reservoir. Water and hardwood flooring is not a good combination. Plus, there is much more 'elbow' room in the garage. Positives: - It gets good and hot and gets rid of wrinkles. - It is well designed so that storage is less of a hassle, it is wheeled, and it reduces down nicely. - The clothes hanger locking knob is a must-have feature and makes all the difference when steaming a shirt. - The water reservoir is more than adequate to steam many shirts and pants without refilling and reheating. - Added tools that come with this unit can also be helpful once you get the hang of using this device. Negatives: - The large diameter hose is clumsy to handle when steaming clothing. Its diameter seems a bit too wide, at about one inch OD. However, in defense of the engineering here, it is dealing with dangerously hot steam, and safety is always an issue. Again, the steam head seems a bit too large for the average hand, but that same dangerously hot steam is flowing through it, and you are holding it constantly. - The power switch is large and sturdy but too high up on the unit's base for older people to operate it with their foot. A lower position would solve that problem for me by helping me to keep my balance. I am glad I purchased this useful device because it speeds up a distasteful job: ironing shirts and pants. If you have the room and steam often, I suggest you stop using that little hand steamer and move up to this big boy. You will wonder why you didn't do it sooner. Addendum: If, over time, this device fails to maintain the standards I expect from it, I will post any issues that arise. Amazon customers have had bad experiences with purchased products and feel they were 'taken' by the seller. As an engineer, I can tear most things down to their essence and report what I find. So far, the unit is performing as I expect it should. My suggestion to customers who want to report their displeasure with a purchase is that they take the time to carefully type out and 'read' what they type before posting their review. When I read a negative review that has misspelled words, hard-to-understand sentence structure, or absolutely makes no sense, I tend to dismiss that person's opinion. It's a human failing, but if I do it, others do it.

UPDATE- Company reached out to me and made this right. They apologized as this is not a normal accurance with the machine nor customer service. As a customer you want great customer service and this company did just that! Thank you for reaching out and providing a solution to my problem. So I was really excited to finally purchase a steamer and i was quite disappointed with this unit! Upon setting it up and filling it with distilled water, I plugged the unit in and there really wasn't much steam coming out. I waited a good 10 mins and during that time the machine kept making a clanking noise constantly. I tried steaming a shirt and the steamer head just kept dripping water onto my shirt and like I said, hardly no steam. So I'm not sure if I just received a defected unit or not but I called Amazon and Amazon connected me to the company. I wasn't sure if I wanted to try an exchange or a full return. The lady seemed nice and seemed concerned but then the phone was disconnected. I requested another call from mfg and this time another lady who seemed like she could care less told me to just call Amazon! I explained to her the issue and what my concerns were and how I was debating whether I should do an exchange or not. She basically kept telling me the same thing, to call Amazon and either exchange or get a refund. I wanted to know if this was a common issue or have some assurance. Guess not so that answered my question. Return for a full refund! I want a company to have good customer support and care about the customer and stand by there product. This didn't happen so I cannot give them another try. My suggestion would be to keep looking at other steamers and check reviews.
