Essential Cell Biology

I got this book because I joined a biotech recently and needed to refresh my college biology so that I would understand what the R&D people are talking about in meetings. This book has been a lifesaver from day one; It gave me the foundation I needed, it's a useful reference text and a springboard for diving deeper into the science when I need to. I wish the biology books I had back in college had been this good.

Essential Cell Biology is one of the best textbooks for an introduction to molecular and cellular biology. As a molecular biology student, this book was the first to be recommended by my professors, the reason being its simple and very comprehensible explanations on various subjects of molecular biology. It includes a wide variety of subjects, ranging from the basic cell cycle to evolutionary genetics!I strongly recommend this book to any student in biological and life sciences, as well as to medical students. A great purchase, essential to anyone interested in biology.

This book is really good and simple to read as well as understand, the disc that it comes with is also just as good..there are a lot of pages though its a very thick book..but theres nothing wrong this that..i recommend people to buy this book if it is cell biology they are studying or interested in!! :) ..It was actually my lecturer at Uni that told everyone to get this...so for a University lecturer to recommend this book you know its good! :)

the book is okay, the explanations are clear and detailed.It is very useful because information is easy to find across the book, and this especially during coursework is just what students are looking for.For biology students.

This book gives a good introduction to the field of cell biology, but in my opinion, it could use a better layout. There is pelnty of information that lays "scattered", its hard to always get the big picture. There is a short resume after each chapter, but it does not make up for the lack of organisation, which can be met within the chapters. I should also mention that I only red 3 chapters, so I cannot say if the rest of the book is easier to get to.

This book was in excellent condition and received on time.The book itself will be of great help studying cell biology. Written by well known authorities in this field backed up by a really professional narrative supported by outstanding graphics. Over many years of buying text books this has probably been one of my best buys.

Da die Vorlesungen bei uns in Würzburg auf dieses Buch aufbauen, lohnt es sich besonders es sich zuzulegen. Darin werden alle Vorlesungsinhalte noch einmal kurz und ausreichend erläutert und zudem ist es leicht verständlich. Für mich hat sich der Kauf auf jeden Fall gelohnt.
