Cattleman's Cut Peppered Steakhouse Beef Jerky, 10 Ounce

I ordered this brand and must have overlooked the "Sodium Nitrites" on the label .. it's the very last ingredient which is why I think I overlooked ..I only returned the product because one of my dearest Uncles died of a Stroke and the Neurologist stated with strong conviction, that based on his decades of research and the data he was presented with, the Stroke came about as a result of ingesting Sodium Nitrites .. now whether it was that one occurrence tha caused the Stroke or , or if it was the result of perhaps, many times eating the stufff over a prolonged period of time, the Doctor couldn't be that pinpoint specific .. but ever since that day, to my recollection, have I purchased any products containing Sodium Nitrites, NItrates and/or BHT ..So any new customers of Cattleman's Cut Beef Jerky, may feel that this review does not apply to them and it may not apply to them .. it's just my experience and I do not wish to bash or complain about the quality of this product .. I'm just saying that had I read the ingredients closer, my personal experiences in life would have prompted me to just go with another product :-)Final:Good Quality ~ Nice Soft Texture ~ Very Tasty ~ Generous Portion ~ Excellent ValueI wish the company continued success :-)

This is the best jerky I've had in a while. The texture was excellent, not to tough, not too soft. The pepper was perfect. Not overdone to hide the taste of the beef. And the price beat most other prices. I just stopped in to review on my wya to buy some more.

Cattleman’s cut is the Best beef jerky we have ever had. Purchased both original and teriyaki. Entire family commented it was the best they had ever had. Soft but has a slight chew… easy to eat, not tuff, no fat, no gristle.

Great flavor. Best part is it has jerky mouth feel but is easier to chew than most. Has very few tough pieces. Great product.

My husband and I — especially my husband — are fans of beef jerky, but we don't like the soft jerky. I mean, what is the point of having beef jerky if it's soft and chewy? Sadly, many popular name brands in the grocery store are just that way, so it's rather difficult finding a good tough beef jerky. Second in importance is the flavor. Does it taste like meat? Or does it taste like the flavoring/marinade? This pack of jerky was one of several brands that I had grabbed to make a birthday goodie bag for my husband. Of course, as we opened bag after bag of jerky, they would be soft or the typical jerky style that others have, even though they would have a good flavor. However, when we opened this bag of Cattleman's Beef Jerky we were surprised? It's JERKY! Like, jerky jerky. It's not so tough that it is un-chewable (unless you are a toddler wanting some of Daddy's special snacks), but it tough enough to have to jerk pieces off and have something to actually chew. Not only that, but this pack had such a great beef flavor and peppered flavor. We plan to try the other flavors and will recommend this brand of beef jerky to others looking for a good beef jerky that isn't soft like bread.
