World's Greatest Shirt Stay from Mr. Shirt Inc -"Deluxe" Version - Shirt Garter, Shirt Tucker, Shirt Holder, Stay Tucked

All shirt stays are at least a little annoying. It's another thing to put on and take off and put away. You can get used to them but they never quite disappear for me. You always know you're wearing them. But the best ones solve a couple of problems. They keep your shirt neatly tucked and your gig line, that line formed by the buttons on your shirt and the zipper on your pants, lined up straight.It produces the ultimate buttoned down and put together look. It's common for military and law enforcement to use them to keep a uniform looking sharp all day but they can also help a guy make a great first impression in a meeting, a job interview, at a wedding, on a date, or just chatting up girls at a bar.These are the best design I've found. There are basically 3 types of these things.1.) The "Y" shaped ones with 2 clips for your shirt and a third clip that goes all the way down to your socks on the outside of your leg. Those have a couple of problems. They can be seen under your pants around the knee area because they are stretched tight from your ankle to your thigh and don't lay flat against your leg. Some of that length is suspended in air where your leg narrows at the knee and it can be visible when standing or sitting. And if the sock clip comes undone.you basically have a slingshot inside you pants. Also, the clips work well with thin dress socks but not so much with cotton or wool socks. But the biggest shortcoming of this style is going to the bathroom. Getting them on and off is an ordeal that basically requires you to remove your pants to use a toilet.2.) The stirrup type gets rid of the sock clip slingshot in favor of a loop or stirrup that you slide on over your foot. It solves the slingshot problem and will work with any socks but the long strap on the outside of your leg is still there and can still be seen sometimes. And now, to use the bathroom you not only have to remove your pants but also your shoes so you can get the stirrups off.3.) These Mr Shirt stays (and other brands), designed to be attached to your thigh, solve all the problems of the other two styles. There is no long strap running the length of your leg. All the hardware stays above the knee. It doesn't use a sock clip so you can wear whatever socks you like and you don't have to detach it from your socks to use a toilet. It doesn't use a stirrup so you don't need to take your shoes off to use a toilet. Instead releasing these is as quick and easy as releasing the Velcro closure on the thigh band. In addition, this Velcro closure means you have a range of adjustment for fat and skinny thighs unlike some other brands that force you to buy a specific size thigh band according to your leg thickness which can be tricky for a first time buyer and doesn't allow you to position them for your own taste on your legs. Also some of these shirt stays that attach at the thigh like this Mr. Shirt model have 3 clips for your shirt, one for the front, side, and back of the shirt on the left and right. I've found that the three clips create a more even tension over a larger area of the shirt for the cleanest look of all. Lastly, this shirt stay uses a very simple and easy to use clip that simply clamps down on your shirt. If you've ever owned suspenders, you've seen this type of clip before. It's the easiest to use when you're reaching around behind you to attach a clip. However unlike suspenders that generally have beefier metal clips with metal teeth to grip jeans or work pants, these clips are smaller and thinner and have a silicone rubber insert that grips your shirt without harming the thin shirt fabric.If you've never used shirt stays, it's worth giving them a shot. If you can get used to the feeling and the slight hassle of putting them on and taking them off, they can make a huge difference in the appearance of a nice suit and dress shirt or even casual clothes. Personally, after getting used to my appearance when using shirt stays, I don't like going without them when I have a shirt tucked. I feel like a rag bag without a shirt stay.These 3 clip thigh mounted stays from Mr. Shirt are the best design I've found. Highly recommended.

These are by far the best and most comfortable shirt starts I've owned. The fit is great, they stay clipped to my sorry throughout the day with no issue. They're easy to get on and off. The thick band makes them much more comfortable than others I've owned.The only downside (and reason for four starts instead of five) for me, is they will set off metal detectors at the airport. If you're willing to use the full body scanner, it's a non issue, and a less intrusive pat down. If you happen to go through the airport metal detector (e.g. if you have pre-check) be prepared to get to at least second base with your local TSA agent. Despite the slight inconvenience, still a great investment.

I'm only 3 days into them and they are so much more comfortable than the classic ones we got in the Marine Corps that connect to the socks. These stay in place around my thighs, I was worried they would ride up on me.I read a lot of comments about them not staying tight. For me, right out of the package I made no adjustments. The back and middle straps are tight and stay that way all day, the front are tight when I'm standing, loose when I'm bent over or sitting. That is in my opinion, ideal. When I stand up, everything is tight and pulls my shirt back into place where it belongs.I would like to provide a 6 month review later though, just to let everyone know if the quality is lost over time.

These are the best working shirt stays I have found. For 8 years in the U.S. military I was using the “under foot” stays, but they always slipped and hand a hard time handling constant standing and sitting. Now in an office environment, these do the job well!At first I thought three clips was excessive, but I set them in the morning and forget about them. The Velcro makes taking on and off wry convenient.My only issue is that at the end of the day, one or two clips have usually come undone and are dangling inside my pant leg.

I have multiple types and brands. This is the only one that hold correctly and the "sliders" stay in place and keep proper tension. The Velcro is good, but does tent to roll or get twisted if you have smaller thighs. Prefer more Velcro, or make it trimmable. The good news is the metal clip is big and strong. The bad news if the metal clip is big and strong. It triggers the TSA metal detectors every time. Even the body scanner results in a very personal and lengthy visit with a gloved TSA agent. It caused delays and issues .. even with agents that are very familiar with shirt stays. I love these .. wish they came in a composite version for when I travel.

Never wore a shirt stay before, but my logic for buying this one (with no reviews at the time) was if the previous iteration has as good reviews as the other top shirt stays and this version's description adressed all the complaints (chaffing due to velcro locations and only 2 straps), then the price increase is justified.Just wore it all day for a wedding. Very easy to put on, very low profile, very comfortable to wear and dance in, and super easy to take off while drunk. And most importantly, kept my shirt tucked all day.Build quality looks great, so hopefully it will last.

100% the best shirt stays I've ever had! I had tried a few different styles/brands and they all were either extremely uncomfortable or just didn’t work well. I will say I never tried the ones that hook to your shirt/socks because I wear ankle socks. These are extremely comfortable and work great. I will be ordering a few more and have already told a few friends about them!

I'm a skinny guy, so no matter what, my shirts are always a bit untucked. But this shirt stay is exactly what I wanted, it keeps my shirt looking sharp all day from 8am to 10pm. The quality is superb, the thigh strap is so soft and comfortable, you'll soon forget it's there, and my shirt stays tucked in ALL DAY. Definitely recommend this for anyone who has to wear dress shirts and feel their shirts just don't fit, this makes them all look custom made. 10/10.
