I thought it was a smart backpack. It is not. But I’m keeping it because the color and style are beautiful and I’ll use it.

I got this backpack to take on trips. I was just gone for 2 weeks in Paris and Armenia and had this backpack along with my small rolling suitcase. The backpack slips right onto the extended handle of the rolling case, making it easy to hold both bags and wheel them across the many miles of the Paris airport (…so sick of that airport…) and metros and city streets and all else. The pack is also of course easy to wear as a backpack. It fits underneath the seat on the airplane and if it’s full enough functions as a foot rest. Travel functionality = check. The bag itself is lovely. I felt stylish when traveling which is a complete first. It has held up really well. The zippers are smooth and the teeth don’t scratch my skin. The bag has several very useful compartments, all zippered other than the 2 drink holders on the sides which work very well. There is a tiny slit on the back of the bag; I use this to store my AirTag and other items I want to keep secure and not access often. In the front there is a thin vertical compartment that opens on the right, and another that opens on the left. I found this very useful to help me remember what I had put where, e.g. I put items I need to access often on the right (chapstick, tissues, etc), and other useful things that I don’t need to access often on the left (vitamins, face mask etc). At the back of the pack is a thin padded vertical slot for a laptop. Or for kindle and passport and snack bag if you are spending a lot of time in the airport. Then there’s the main interior, which has a small zippered pocket and some open slots where I found it useful to keep my airplane-specific items (earphones, eye mask, compression socks, etc). In the body of the pack I was able to fit everything I needed for the airplane, with a lot of extra space for souvenirs on the way back. For this trip it was a supplemental bag, but on my next trip I’ll just take the backpack because I don’t need to take many items with me. I’ve given it the travel test and it has passed with flying colors. If I could change 1 thing, it would be some way to secure the loose pieces when the straps are not all loosened, because when pulling my suitcase at an angle they drag on the floor. I might sew some kind of clip onto them.

Can fold up when not in use so rather pliable. The back is a beautiful color; more mauve than lavender. Has side straps that securely hold water bottles/tumblers. The elastic band keeps container secure so accommodates most sizes. The back pack is adjustable and can hold quite a bit despite its small size. No complaints.

I am almost ashamed to say I bought this for my Kindle Scribe, but not quite. However, my work laptop actually fits in it! And its way lighter and smaller than my current puma backpack. A win-win.
