WORKING load is only 403lbs. The breaking strength is usually 2-3 times working load limits.

Where are these made?

I’m not sure where they are made, but they do not last.

when I use first use them they seem to slip a bit at first, is that normal, as it means they don't stay fully tight?

Bought for hubby, as he uses ratchet straps a lot and I got sick of him getting mad the straps get tangled. These are tough, they hold the load down without quads, skidoos and loads shifting. The retractable button are easy to use and super convenient. And when not in use they wrap up nicely so they aren’t a big mess.. The hooks are perfect size.. These straps are worth every penny. Very happy with my buy / gift
