I was ify because of the price but they are definitely worth it. These are very authentic. Smells like wood, seemed as if they screwed it all together when I bought it. They really made my look come together. They are not hard to walk in at all (coming from someone who does not own any type of heels). I did have to walk slow and down the stairs was a little hard. It’s total worth it. They are true to size. I got my socks separately. The ones I am wearing were not the ones included.

I wear these almost everyday and absolutely love them. Workdays they're for walking the dog, weekends are all day sandles. Rubber bottoms wear out as expected but can be completely removed and walk on the wood or can add rubber. Straps are TIGHT but only at first. They are hemp road with a velvet cover and it has a perfect amount of stretch from just wearing that allows them to fit snuggly on your feet. Toe "thong" is in the middle, where it's supposed to be on these shoes, thus your pinky toe does hug the side. I am a 10.5 male US shoe size and these fit perfectly. Straps can also be readjusted if they become to loose and completely replaced for a different look. It's like walking on hardwood floor everywhere. The height of them keeps dry feet in small puddles and damp grass. I literally cannot say enough things about these. When these finally wear out I may attempt to make a pair from scratch.

Comfortability while walking - 6 - stars only because you have to get use to it : it feels weird probably because it’s made of wood plus the two slits on the bottom you have to get use to it, is like walking feels like your on skiing pools if they were stilts on your feet this is kinda a bad description I can’t describe it unless you try is definitely unique, it honestly it just feels uncommon or unnatural. You have to get used to it because your feet is at a weird position, unlike when you come you wear heels though they’ve caused no pain to my feet Comfortability while sitting - 10/10 Is so comfortable in any position because you don’t have to walk in them haha but besides that it gives great foot support to all sides of my feet like wearing wooden house slippers very comfortable surprisingly enough - I did get socks I saw some who said they didn’t the product was nicely packaged and looks like the item description -10/10 for product, packaging and description Only thing about the shoes it self is the thing that goes in between your toes The black bridge part is kinda snug wish it was looser but I can still fit it 1 - 10 “my complaint” Finally socks are fine took me awhile to figure out how to put on split toe socks but finally decided to do the ruling method you would do on stockings which worked easier and was the quickest method - 10/10 for them fitting haha Overall 4 stars is not a 3 because the stuff looks like the product and I love sitting in them besides the snug thing I think I’ll over look it period Plus all my stuff came in the mail quickly and neatly and I had all my stuff so no complaints there

I almost sent these back, because after I received them, I couldn’t think of a reason for needing them. But they are so well-made and so carefully put together. I didn’t have it in my heart to give them up. So they sit in my closet, looking beautiful and occasionally I wear them around just for grants. The first time I got to Okinawa I was driving down the main road with my dad. Anna used car that he had picked up. He came to the airport and got my mother, my older brother myself and our little sister and drove to a home in Koza, which is now Okinawa city. We hadn’t driven a mile before we came upon three women walking in the wet street where it was raining Wearing beautiful kimonos and these shoes gave them 6 inches are so clearance from the mud and the bottles. I will never forget it so I wanted a pair for myself and they were so carefully wrapped and so beautifully built. I kept them. It’s a goodbye and a great vendor.

My wife thought I was silly to buy these, but I love them. You wouldn't believe how comfortable it is walking around on essentially a block of wood. They make a pleasant sound as well, though others may not find it as nice as you. The height boost feels good, and the strap is cozy between your toes. They come in handy for walking through puddles. The two shoes are interchangeable, and you never have to worry about which is which. My main complaint is the bottoms of my sandals were unfinished, meaning I had to seal them myself or they would have absorbed water and deteriorated. Furthermore, authentic geta use wooden pegs instead of nails. These ones have metal nails through the blocks, which means as the soles wear the nails push closer and closer until they poke through into your feet. Speaking of wear, the wood of these shoes chipped away over a few months of wearing them. The rubber soles deteriorated - shredding pretty quickly and exposing the wood to be chipped away by pavement. I would absolutely buy geta again, but I would try to find a pair that were made a little better and more authentically. Buy these to try them out or for a costume, but they will not last long with daily use. As far as value for the money, I would have expected a little more quality for the price.

Kyoto’s Nishiki Market had a pair of these in a size that wasn’t mine, with the straps made out of icky vinyl, do not touch signs all over, and a grumpy old man pretending to build these slippers - though he left out tell-tale boxes of purchased inventory stacked around the store. He was also giving me a hard time because I touched his slippers. Prices converted to over $68 USD. Luckily I whipped out my phone and found these on Amazon at a fraction of the Japanese pricing, free camel toed socks, and next day delivery so I had to wait until I got home from my trip to buy. Surprisingly comfortable. Also bought another pair from another vendor in a shiny black lacquer but am returning those as those are made of plastic with a vinyl wrap along the soles and cheap poly straps listed as cotton. These are wooden with decent velvet straps and look and feel much more authentic. Hope to mop the floor with these and not leave footprints. Was initially concerned that I’d fall on my face but they feel much more solid than I imagined. Might even wash the car in these.

A great pair of shoes to satisfy that strange urge/reason why you chose buy it in the first place! As a size 10 foot, these shoes only juust fit my feet (as can be seen in the photos). but that's no fault of the shoe itself as the pair I bought was the max size it came in. I'm sure it'd fit my feet fine if it came in a larger size. Also one small thing to keep in mind is that my foot rests on the shoe a little off centre (my little toe hangs off abit) and that's due to the design of the shoe where the shoe string knot is in the centre of shoe. Other than those points, the shoe itself is of great quality and comes with a subtle foam underlay on the bottom of each 'shoe teeth', to reduce sound when walking. If you're walking with a regular stride, there'll be lots of 'wood' sound produced but if you walk as they do in various anime/Japanese movies (ie, gliding stride) then you can avoid all sounds.

Die Schuhe sehen sehr gut aus. Laufen kann ich mittlerweile auch gut damit. Es ist sehr gut, dass die Socken mitgeliefert werden, denn mit normalen Socken klappt es nicht so gut.
