It deserves 5 stars in functionality and looks but I would take a star off when there are no instructions. I had to refer to photo on Amazon website as the photo on the box was misleading. I like how it stops the paper towel roll from rolling uncontrollably. It is also steady on the counter. I had an OXO and whenever you tore a sheet you ended up with more than you wanted!

Very pretty. Exactly as shown in the picture. Holds a standard size paper towel roll. The base is heavy enough that you can tear off a paper towel with one hand and it doesn’t slide across the counter. But it is not so heavy that it is difficult to move. They really hit the sweet spot on the right heaviness for the base. The flowers and butterfly decorations have held up great for over a year now, even with rough kids using it. Would definitely recommend.

This works great and you don’t have to hold on to it to get a sheet. Looks really nice too.

Would like base to be a little heavier.Towels tear off ok but the base scoots a little when I pull off a towel.

I’ve gone through a few paper towel holders/stands over the years and never thought much about them. This thing opened my eyes to something I should have known I needed. The combination of weight and tension on the roll is PERFECT for one handed use. If I’m holding something in one hand, pulling off a paper towel is a breeze with the other hand. The weight keeps the holder from moving and the tension lets me pull exactly the number of sheets I want. I’ve had it a few months now and I don’t know how long it will last but when it goes, I’m buying another one.

The paper towel holder was very easy to assemble. I did so in less than 3 minutes. It is sturdy and looks great with my black appliances. No need to hold the item while tearing away a paper towel.

Very disappointed in this product. Was excited when I received it because it has a nice weight to it and decorative look. After having only for a couple of weeks the spokes that hold the paper towels on it from spinning all fell off. Tried to put them back on but honestly I just became very frustrated. I do not recommend this purchase.
