What is the difference between a BTE (Behind-the-Ear) and ITE (In-the-Ear)? The location of the receiver or speaker is different. Review: Great stylish buds! - The packaging and presentation is second to none. The buds are stylish and don't protrude out of the ear like others I've looked at. The sound quality is great and battery life is longer than expected. Really nice product and would recommend. Review: These take time and patience but ... - These hearing aids are made well with good documentation except for the details on the different programs - one is just for normal conversation or when you are watching TV, and the other program is meant to help drown out background noise when you are in a noisy room. We prefer the program that is for one on one conversations. Tested this hearing aid on an elderly neighbor who has general hearing loss and turns the TV on really loud - if he is with other people, they get annoyed with him because the TV is too loud. This hearing aid helped him to reduce the TV sound level because it amplified the sound. He could hear us asking him questions and he found it easy to set the level of amplification he wanted (his preferred level is 4 out of 6). These are not going to be as good as the hearing aids that are thousands of dollars and custom fitted , but we have tried quite a number of these lower priced hearing aids and these have been the best in terms of charging ease and they are relatively easy to use. It just takes time to get used to the amplified sound - it took my neighbor about a week and now he loves them because he can hear people on the phone and doesn't have to blast the TV. The trouble shooting guide helps but there was a bit of "feedback" in the hearing aid when we first inserted them, even though there was no ear wax, ears were clean, and the sizing was correct. There is a number provided and we have not tried to call for assistance. You have to be careful not to press the large white surface when the inserting the hearing aids. Instead, you pull on your ear lobe to help get the hearing aids seated better .... and only touch around the hearing aid - not the large white surface. The large white surface is what changes the program (hold for 3 seconds) or the volume (tap the white surface). I helped my neighbor get these hearing aids seated well the first few times. You can also hear your own voice through these hearing aids, so they tend to help the user lower their own voice when speaking. We found that to be a nice benefit of these hearing aids. There is a well outlined return policy in case these do not work, and we found that reading all the instructions really helped to understand the device and charging light indicators. The Nano Hearing Aids set comes with a charging cable but you will need the USB charging block, a USB battery pack, or a USB power port to charge these. The charge is supposed last up to 38 hours on about a 3 hour charge and we found that to be pretty accurate. For the price, these Nano hearing aids are a fairly good way to get hearing amplification and the work better than others were have tried. These also look like phone ear plugs so they do not look like hearing aids. Hope the photos and this review help you decide of these might be the right hearing aids for you. Fussy and prone to fedback squeals
My husband has mild hearing loss, though it is "selective" in that he is actually hyper sensitive in some parts of the hearing range and deficient in others. He was hoping that these OTC hearing aids might be able to help boost the parts that are dropping out. Well, he has tried them for a few days, but hasn't used them since. 1: They don't help make the consonants easier to comprehend since it boost EVERYTHING...great for those with overall hearing loss, not so great for his special needs. 2: They squeal LOUDLY when being inserted, and if not in perfectly, they will continue to squeal to some extent whenever someone talks...loudly enough for others to hear...so it cannot feel good to have that in the ear. I would suggest looking elsewhere for an OTC hearing aid if you are not able to afford a doctor-prescribed and fitted set.

I can’t recommend because of the squealing
I got this for my 78-year-old mother, who has hearing loss but hasn’t ever used a hearing aid before. I wanted to see if she could figure it out on her own, and it was intimidating for her, and also looking through the instructions they are vague and a bit confusing, hiding the most important parts about the level of volume and the indicators of the settings. It took much prodding to get her to try it on her own and then on any but the lowest setting, any contact by your hair or if you brush the microphone with your hand (which is very easy to do while changing the volume), it squeals violently, which is painful. It scared my mother from using it anymore, but she said she wants to give it four stars because she’s optimistic about it, but having blasted my ear with squeals myself just now, while trying very hard not to, I am not feeling very forgiving. The battery seems pretty short lived- 36 hours of use - use means the aids are out of the case- from 2-3 hours of charging, which means nightly charging. There are two settings 1 for “all around- quiet environment” and 2 for “noise environment” each with 6 volume settings. At the top end of the volume it beeps three times before it starts over at the bottom end of the amplification. For the cost, I wish I had just gotten her some AirPods and used the hearing aid function on it.

Poor Performance
I gave these hearing aids a fair chance to win my trust and reliance on them. Initially, I tried adapting to them at home by using the radio for news, sports, and music. However, changing the program or mode by placing my hands over them caused a shrieking feedback that was almost mind-piercing. Despite my patience and reading the user manual, the Nano buds wouldn’t stop the ear-piercing shriek when adjusting through different modes or even when holding them in separate hands. The design may be attractive, eliminating the stigma of wearing hearing aids. However, despite my efforts, the trial was disastrous. At the price range, it’s a financial loss and a poor, impossible, quick decision to over-the-counter hearing aids for mild to moderate hearing loss.

I CAN hear you now!
These in ear hearing aids come with a nice case and charging cord. They are pretty sleek and fit snuggly in my ear. There is a bit of a learning curve and adjustment period for me. I would use a couple hours and take a break for a while as I adjusted. These do help me significantly. The sound quality is impressive for what they are. I really like the setting that drowns out the background noise, very useful. I get about a day and half use out of them before I have to charge them. Charging is pretty easy. The only issue I have is my arthritic fingers have a problem hitting buttons I don’t mean to, I imagine this would happen with any of them. You can hear yourself talk which throws me off but I am learning. I have not had any feed back issues and for being what they are, I am greatly appreciative of these hearing aids. These are great and help my everyday life.
