ARTEZA Real Brush Pens, Set of 96, Water-Based Brush Markers with Flexible Nylon Tips, Water Brush Pen, and Portable Organizer Case for Drawing, Lettering, Coloring, and Watercolor Effects

I'm a beginner when it comes to drawing and painting but what I can say is based on my experience and from the little knowledge I have as I use different art materials. This product has very vibrant color and VERY fine tip which is good for detailing although you have to be very careful. As small as the tips are, it dispenses a very concentrated amount of color. If you're heavy handed its best to dip the tip in water to decrease concentration of the color and let excess water from the dip and test it on a scrap paper to check desired color consistency. Wouldn't advice for painting a large drawing as it appears streaky since the tips are so small it would be hard to distribute colors evenly. Gives my watercolor painting extra depth. I love it and I won't hesitate to buy again but I had it for a while and they are still good as new. Will definitely recommend.

They work great and blend easily for being watercolor brush markers. I love traveling with them, they don't make a mess, and you can use them with or without water.

These are great brush pens that work really good and last a long time. My wife uses them every week.

I bought the set! I was not sure how they would be. The colors are bright. They are workable like other watercolors. One of my markers appeared to have dried and dipped it slight in water. I gave it a minute and it was good. I use the brushes to make cards and everyone loves them! The colors are brilliant! On the Arteza website they sell the brushes in smaller sets. I know some of you might be wondering about what happens with the brushes do the bristles come out? I’ve used the brushes a lot. I’ve used all of my markers repeatedly I don’t have any issues other with them. I’m really happy with the set and I would definitely buy them again. I wish there was a metallic and coalescent brush set as well.

The pens are pretty nice to work with, especially when you get a good handle on using the real brush tips instead of a traditional nib. I did find that I had two of the same color when creating swatches of these pens and also found that I was missing one out of the 96 color set...inconvenient when your expecting 96 unique colors and only get 95 unique colors out of the 96. I also found a few stray nylon strands sticking out of the plastic part of the pens. This does not affect how the pens work though! The travel case is incredibly nice and helpful! It has Velcro sides that allow you to open up the entire case and lay it out flat. The center part of the case comes out as it is also attached by Velcro. The pens fit in the slots nicely and it's very easy to assemble and take apart as needed. Overall, I would buy this set again if needed. I think it would make an excellent set for a budding young artist and would be an excellent set to take along when traveling.

My husband bought these markers for me and I love them! I only wish they had a thin side to them also.

I bought these as an alternative to my favorite Kuretake Zog Clean Color real brush pens. I am blown away my the value you get, the marker case alone was worth the purchase. Very interesting color selection. This set has mostly vibrant bright colors, and not so many neutrals, making it perfect to compliment my Zigs. There's an awesome range of blues and greens included. Most markers were very juicy, with the exception of one. I contacted customer service, and they were kind enough to immediately send out the marker that I needed at no charge to me. That is what will make me continue buying from this brand. Quality art supplies at a reasonable price. Excellent color selection for brights. Superior customer service. Thanks, Arteza!

I have used the Japanese SAI Watercolour brush pens but they were quite old and few had any pigment left, so I decided to try this Arteza brand. I am not disappointed. They are very nicely pigmented, the colour moves with water so well, and they blend beautifully. I have a small porcelain well I use for mixing, blending and diluting the watercolours when needed. I found they work well on watercolour paper but also in my “Beauty Lives in Nature” journaling book which has a little bit heavier paper in it than say ordinary colouring book pages. The only thing negative I could say is that some of the brush tips have an odd fibre that is longer than others, which while it’s nice for long skinny areas, it makes it a wee bit tricky to control its placement.

These are wonderful pens with very vivid colors. Some of them have a few hairs sticking out, but it's easily remedied with a good pair of scissors! I love the storage bag! This way the pens are not all over the place and can be neatly stored. Other brand brush pens fit too, like Jane Davenport brush pens! I bought another, empty Arteza bag to store them. It really helps to keep my painting supply brushes & thinner marker pens organized! The slots are too small for thicker markers or pens...! I'm very happy with the brush pens & the storage bag & will buy the pens separately to refill the bag!

Easy to use and great colour choice

Very nice water markers. If I had one complaint I wish there were some pastel shades, however it is possible to make them a lighter shade by putting them on a tile or plate and picking up the colour with a waterbrush. Very nice tip on the brush. Easy to use. Plenty of variety in colour range. Perfect for use in coloring books. They blend very easily.
