Eats railroad ties like hot butter.
Hold onto that saw! These chains are cutting beasts! I use these chains for cutting railroad ties and they eat them up like hot butter. Just keep a good grip on your saw as these chains are more aggressive and have a higher kick-back tendency. I prefer to stick to Stihl chains as they stay sharp longer. Overall, I'm very happy with this product.

Not sure if authentic
Purchased this chain for my MS391. The one I received is on the left in the picture and the one in the right is a package I got from a local store. I noticed as soon as I got it that the packaging was missing all the writing on the outside that should have been printed in the boxes at the bottom of the Stihl packaging. The only indicator as to what was in the box is a hand fixed label on the back that was obviously put there by Amazon. Seems a little suspicious to me since the box doesn’t indicate gauge, file size, chain size, model number, or anything. It appears to be an older Stihl box and the chain appears to be authentic by looking at it but I have not tried the chain yet. I’ll follow up once the chain is used.

This chain is not for your weekend warrior. It is Full chisel and can Hurt you. If you require a wood eating chain, as in a 20inch bar such as a Stihl farm boss 029, and take your Stihl saw serious, you cannot beat the price.
