Bi-Metal Hole Saw Kit High Speed Steel M42 with Cobalt 8% for Metal and Wood 13-Piece General Purpose 3/4" to 2-1/2" in Quality Carrying Case

I needed to cut a couple of different size holes in my metal barn. Having the full set made it easy to get the right size for the job. They cut through just fine. The only thing that stopped my progress was that the large adapter has a snap ring on it, and I didn't have the tool to remove it. It's all good now, because I not only have a nice set of saws, but I have a snap ring tool as well.

I'll confess that I almost never use a hole saw, but when I do need one it's usually to drill a hole through a 2x4 or a cabinet. So when I used this set to drill umbrella holes through my new picnic tables, I was surprised that the 2" hole saw blade couldn't quite make it through the 1-1/2" table top. Then I realized that a lock ring around the drill bit was preventing it. At first I thought that it was a poor design, but then I realized that by drilling the hole from both sides avoided splintering and produced a cleaner end result.So, I would have to say that this product does the job. As far a durability? That's a future review.

Nothing to not like about it. Very good quality. Even the case and foam protective interior is high quality. Works great.

I feel like the bits are made out of a quality material and have worked well so far. About 6 holes drilling in metal without problems. Teeth look unaffected. My only complaint is the set did not come with a 1 inch.

These cut through 11 gauge steel square tubing cleanly. I suggest using in a drill press or other stable jig when cutting through thick metal since I broke some teeth off by accidentally cantinf the drill on one of my cuts. Be sure to use the slowest speed and frequently apply cutting oil.

Cheap hole saw kit that is well worth the money. Bits work well with regular use. Easy to change between sizes. Durability is questionable but it's not a high end set.

The mandrels are good quality. It comes with three that fit three types of hole saws in the kit. The pins on two of the mandrels can be a little difficult to line up with the holes in the hole saws. On the middle size mandrel, I experienced problems getting the wood core removed from inside the hole saw when cutting a hole in a one inch thick board.

High quality hole saws in a very solid case. I have used them on wood with no issues. I have an automotive project these were purchased for to drill into metal, which I have not yet done, but expect good results. As a free bonus they sent me a rotary tool accessory kit that was unexpected and made this purchase an even better value. Thank you!
