Does anyone know if this product was tested on animals?

This is no longer true, at least regarding the Dove brand, which is not sold in China. Though parent company Unilever does test on animals for other brands that they sell in China as required there.

How would this affect my beard if it gets into it while cleaning my face?

Yes, rinse and rinse well. Try not to get put it on too thick or else it will foam up in your beard when you comb it after a shower if you do not rinse it all out.

Does the sensitive version of this have a strong scent? Or is it more like an unscented product. Can't tell from comments as they combine them.

When I first bought it, I didn't like the scent.But that was for the lotion.But I tolerated it and bought others from Dove and they have horrible smell...The sensitive one is the best for smell...As for the soap, I don't think there's really any powerful soap smell...

In my opinion. This is for men with dry skin. This feels more like lotion plus it does NOT have any exfoliating properties. This is a soft face wash. Does lather very we'll. But for me my face oils itself pretty quick so I'll be looking for something different to try
