Great quality product for outside outlets. They have good color variety and look good too!

Simple review. Needed a replacement for a broken outdoor outlet. I chose this specific one because it is Brown, 20 amp, and weather resistent. Bought it for $31 (from and shipped by Amazon). Received it the following day. Installed same-day (if you're a DIYer, please make sure to take the proper precautions). Works. Installation is practically the same as any other outlet. I have no input with regards to the longevity of this model. I bought a 15-amp variant (Leviton GFWT1-W) 2 years ago to replace a different outlet, and it still works today. Hoping to see it last as long (and much longer). I would buy again if needed (assuming it isn't because this one failed).

This outlet was used to replace an Eaton GFCI that failed. I've never had a problem with a Leviton product and the build quality of this outlet gives me confidence that will continue. The installation was typically easy and the outlet is performing as expected. Don't straddle the fence on spending a bit extra for Leviton quality, just do it and never worry about it again. It's not worth pinching pennies on items like this where you could risk life and property by being cheap.

Could be more, the same or less, but not a gouge. [ ] According to Leviton, it has a 2 year warranty though I can't decipher what all and how it is covered. [ ] Being tamper resistant, of course its going to be...resistant. That's the point. [ ] It is Decora. Hate the look, hate the abscence of recessed holes. Can one still get a gfci in traditional? [ ] I had zero issues plugging in, it takes a little patience and wigglin. A little more difficult with a grounded plug but minimal. [ ] I don't appreciate the lack of transparency as pertaining to the warranty. There is a strong likelihood that if this fails, it was due to consumer error. It is a hit-miss product, though without inspecting/verifying every claimed defective unit and how it was used (indoor, outdoor, connect/disconnect frequency, plug pulled vs shutoff switch, high in-rush current draw, amp draw near or slightly above maximum ampherage rating, under size cord etc) , there is no way to trust ALL of the claims related to such. [ ] It is a hit-miss product, though without inspecting/verifying every claimed defective unit and how it was used (indoor, outdoor, connect/disconnect frequency, plug pulled vs shutoff switch, high in-rush current draw, amp draw near or slightly above maximum ampherage rating, under size cord etc) , there is no way to trust ALL of the claims related to such. [ ] It's a big dude. This product by feel, is robust. I wish all non gfci outlets were this robust. The downside being that this big dude will crowd out your box, so use extra deep and or extra wide boxes when possible. There is simply, next to no side clearance. Be sure your wires are some 4 to 6 inches and fully without question, secured. The [counter-intuitive longer wires will provide the necessary give to flip fold them and tuck them away with little effort. Don't run a fridge or freezer on a gfci circuit. They'll trip it and ruin food. 4 stars. Wish it had recessed female sockets. I d like to see a reliable warranty

Used it for an outdoor plug outside where the GFCI failed to work. This was EZ to install and the oversized weatherproof cover was excellent!

Very understandable directions with illustrations. GFI circuits can be intimidating.
