Absolutely fantastic device, now I actually play retro games instead of just tinker and set them up! Coming from a long list of other handhelds, from an RG Nano up to a Steam Deck, this is what I'm playing most by a long shot. Pros: - Comfy (ergonomics that actually work) - Small (actually pocketable) - Powerful (everything up to and including GC and PS2 upscaled and without needing hacks) - Perfect screen (oled is stunning, odd aspect ratio and resolution works well on so many systems - Android sleep has made picking it up and putting it down a joy - Beautiful design - Handles android games well Cons: - Setting up android can be a pain, no two ways about it. - Face buttons are inexplicably loud, definitely isn't something you can play in bed next to someone. Will need to mod it in the future I've not listed 16:9 content under the cons section because that's not what this device is about. If you want to play more modern systems or stream, clearly you should be looking elsewhere. PSP is the only older system you can't play under ideal circumstances on this, so that's an acceptable tradeoff given all the pluses. Hell, it'll even play NDS and 3DS nicely if you know how to customise dual screen layouts, given the tall, almost square aspect ratio of the screen. This does need setting up, and comes with no games so you need to supply your own. Neither task is beyond any retro games fan, and tinkering is often part of the fun! The end result is an awesome little device. For actual retro games this is my end-game device!

Great pocketable handheld. Vivid screen although I wish it was a bit wider, nice build quality, handles up to p$2 and some sw!tch, comfortable to hold, very good battery life. Cons: alil loud Abxy buttons, 4:3 screen, reflective glass front but all these are not deal breakers. If you add those reversible covers it's one of the best pocketable/smaller handhelds for the $.

This met my expectations to a T. Everything I read and heard from reviewers about this device has mirrored my experience so far. It has run nearly everything I’ve thrown at it without too much in the way of adjusting settings. I have noticed that some of the nicer looking/cpu intensive gen 6 games have slowdown/playability problems but have had no issues with the large majority of the library that I play. I have not drained the battery in one sitting, but will use 10-20% over a 1-2 hour session of mixed 2/3D gaming on emulators and native android games. Although I wish it had an Xbox style analog stick layout, it is not uncomfortable to use sticks alongside triggers/bumpers. Screen quality is excellent, and black bars are well hidden in rooms with lights on/invisible with lights off due to it being OLED. It is small, but not so small that readability is compromised in most games. Does not feel cramped. This is the first handheld emulator I’ve ever set up, but with the many tutorials and guides available it was relatively easy. The few difficulties I’ve had were quickly resolved with a google search. I use ES-DE and have set it to be my home screen. It is a very seamless experience once set up properly. I have enjoyed my time with it so far, and expect to for the foreseeable future.
