I have only used this for a couple nights but so far it has made my very firm mattress much more comfortable to sleep on. It doesn't seem like it is very thick but has definitely improved my sleep. Previously I was waking up early in the morning with very sore, stiff hips and lower spine but since adding this mattress topper that hasn't happened. I left it out for 48 hours to ensure that it had time to puff up a bit but did not put it in the dryer like other reviewers had mentioned. If it starts to compress then I will try that.

I bought the Topper for my Grandson as his mattress is firm. The next morning he told me that he slept great and it was so soft.

Lovely mattress topper. Gives just the right "fluffy-ness" for my firm mattress, soft to the touch and and just the right level cushy for me. I love that it's cotton, no annoying noise and it seems durably made. It fits perfectly around my deep mattress without slipping. I have a mattress protector over this topper, so I can't speak to stain resistant. I wish the cover zipped off for washing, it does not and I have go to the laundromat to wash it because it is too bulky for my machines. Other than that, this is the fourth topper I've ordered and this one was the one I kept. Good value for the money.
