⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MACHINE
I absolutely love this machine! I bought the L50 Ultra right before Thanksgiving 2025, and wow — it has completely changed my home. During the first week, I ran this robot vacuum every day, sometimes multiple times a day, testing different settings and figuring out the best cleaning schedules for our household. We’re a family of five (three kids, two adults), plus a dog and a cat, so seven total — and this has easily been the best investment I’ve ever made for my home. The vacuuming is excellent and the mopping works extremely well. What surprised me at first was that while the cleaning was good, it wasn’t perfect right away. The robot clearly learns your home over time. The more it ran, the better it became — both in cleaning performance and navigation. Even two months later, I still see it improving. Our home has three carpeted bedrooms, a large living room rug, kitchen mats, and tile flooring that looks like wood, and it handles every surface perfectly. Initially, the battery life seemed a little low, but that also improved with use. I’m not sure why Dreame products behave this way, but I noticed the same thing with my Dreame Z30 stick vacuum — battery life was short at first and then got better over time. Either way, I can’t complain. The L50 Ultra will vacuum the dining room, living room, kitchen, both hallways, and laundry room in about 60 minutes, then mop those same areas in another 70 minutes, and still finish with around 25% battery remaining. The suction power is honestly unbelievable. When I first bought this, I was also considering purchasing an air purifier because of pet hair and dust — my dog sheds moderately and my cat sheds a lot. Since running this vacuum daily, I no longer feel the need for an air purifier. It does such a great job removing dust and debris that there’s practically nothing left in the air. I run scheduled cleanings every day, and each schedule vacuums first and then mops: • 8:30 AM – Living room (vacuum → mop) This area includes the litter box and the back door where the dogs go in and out in the morning. • 2:30 PM – Main house cleaning (vacuum → mop) Kitchen, dining room, hallways, and surrounding areas. • Nighttime – Full house cleaning (vacuum → mop) Runs after the kids are in bed so everything is clean for the next day. This robot has been a complete game changer for our home. If I could rate it 10 out of 5, I absolutely would.

Great robot vacuum that makes cleaning so much easier
I’ve had this robot vacuum for over a month now, and I’m really happy with it. Setup and mapping were easier than I expected, and after making a few adjustments in the app, it has been very simple to use. It does a great job picking up everyday dust, crumbs, and hair, and the mopping leaves my floors noticeably cleaner. My favorite part is how little maintenance it requires. The base automatically empties the dustbin and washes and dries the mop pads, so I mostly just refill the clean-water tank and let it do its job. It moves around furniture well and rarely gets stuck. Overall, it has made keeping my floors clean much easier, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a robot vacuum that can handle both vacuuming and mopping.

Wanted to Love It, But Bugs and Breakdowns Ruined It
I wanted to love the Dreame L50 Ultra robot vacuum, but alas, it was not meant to be. I received my first unit and set it up eagerly. The initial mapping run went smoothly—I named rooms, divided areas, and backed everything up. But one day, without explanation, the map vanished, and so did my backup. Frustrating, but I re-mapped. This time, the layout skewed 45 degrees sideways. The app's rotation option only allowed 90-degree adjustments, which didn't help. I re-ran mapping multiple times, always with the same skew. Customer support kicked in after I reached out. They guided me through basic troubleshooting, then pushed a trial firmware update (version unspecified) that fixed the rotation. However, they couldn't recover my lost maps or settings—I'd redone the house layout three times by then. Kudos to their team: polite, timely responses, and appreciative of my patience. Still, schedules and customizations reset spontaneously, with no restore option. More issues piled on. The docking station struggled to empty the vacuum's bin fully—I often had to do it manually. Hair and debris clogged the pathway to the dust bag. While the roller brush never tangled (a real plus), it left hair clumps on the floor instead of vacuuming them up. Not ideal for homes with shedding dogs or long-haired folks. Support deemed this abnormal after reviewing my videos and photos, suggesting a return to Amazon for a replacement. The second unit mapped without skew, but 30 minutes into its first run, the right wheel failed. I was done. On the bright side, mopping was quiet and effective in spots, though it couldn't tackle a dried ice cream stain even after six passes. **Pros:** - Excellent customer service: Responsive, polite, timely. - Quiet mopping operation. - Roller brush doesn't tangle with hair. **Cons:** - Mapping issues: Vanished maps/backups; 45-degree skew (firmware-fixed but no recovery). - Spontaneous resets: Lost settings, rooms, schedules. - Debris extraction: Dock fails to empty bin; clogs with hair/debris; leaves clumps on floor (bad for pets/long hair). - Hardware failure: Second unit's wheel stopped early. - Mopping limits: Poor on dried stains. **Conclusion:** Disappointed despite premium price. Well-intentioned company, but unreliable product. Not recommended for pet owners. 1/5 stars.

Worth every penny
I've been using this robot vacuum for about 9 months now, and I honestly have no complaints. It's been one of the best smart home purchases I've made. The scheduling works exactly as expected, the obstacle avoidance is excellent, and my house has never been this consistently clean. The only minor issue I've had is needing to reattach one of the mop pads a couple of times, but it takes just a few seconds and hasn't been a big deal. I don't use the stair-climbing feature since my home is a single floor with no steps, so I can't comment on that. The live video streaming has occasionally been unreliable, but I rarely use that feature anyway. Overall, it's been incredibly reliable, saves me a lot of time

Smart, Powerful, and Truly Hands-Free!
I’ve been using the L50 Ultra robot vacuum for a week now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best home cleaning devices I’ve ever owned. From the moment I set it up, I was impressed by how effortlessly it navigates my home. It crosses door thresholds and small steps without getting stuck, thanks to its retractable legs that lift up to 6cm. This feature alone solved a major issue I had with previous vacuums. The smart navigation system is incredibly accurate. It detects and avoids obstacles like shoes, cables, and furniture with ease. I’ve watched it maneuver around cluttered areas without bumping into anything, which is a huge improvement over other models I’ve tried. The AI and 3D structured light really make a difference. Hair removal is another area where this vacuum shines. With pets and long hair in the house, tangles used to be a constant problem. The HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush works wonders—it picks up hair from both hard floors and carpets without getting clogged, keeping the suction strong and consistent. Despite its powerful 19,500Pa suction, the L50 Ultra is surprisingly quiet. I can run it while working or relaxing without being disturbed. It picks up everything from fine dust to larger debris, even from deep within carpet fibers. Cleaning corners and under furniture is no longer a challenge. The Dual Flex Arm technology allows the vacuum to reach tight spots and low-profile areas that other vacuums miss. My home has never felt this clean. The PowerDock is a game-changer. It empties the dustbin, washes and dries the mop pads, refills water and solution, and even cleans itself. I haven’t had to touch the vacuum in days—it truly offers a hands-free cleaning experience. I also appreciate the customizable carpet cleaning options in the Dreamehome app. Whether I want to avoid carpets, boost suction, or double-clean, I can tailor the settings to suit different areas of my home.

Great robot vacuum & mop, I just wish it did windows too
TLDR: Great for households with just adults and maybe a small child. I think this would struggle with a house with pets that shed. I would recommend this for anyone though; if you have kids/shedding creatures, you will just have to do more maintenance on it. I have had the Dreame L50 Ultra for over 2 months and I love him...I call him Herbie...yes he has a name, as he's like a little robot pet that cleans for you. I put him together myself and had hm up and running in about 20 minutes. I hooked him up to the app and off he went. Mapping: 10/10 First thing he does is map the house, which is very entertaining to watch. I followed him around for a bit like he was a toddler. He got very close to the stairs going to the lower level and he self adjusted, and didn't fall to his death. I use him on the main level of the house, which is about 2200sq ft and it took him a bit to do the whole thing. You can edit things over time if you want, and backup the map as well. Navigating the terrain: 6/10 After the mapping, I sent him forth to vacuum the downstairs. He navigated everything extremely well. Then we got a different table and chairs, and he didn't self adjust and got stuck underneath one of the chairs and we had to rescue him. He also has some sort of weird issue at the moment that if I tell him to go just solely mop my bathroom, he thinks he can't get there...I get the obstacle in the way' message, and he doesn't leave his little space in the pantry. If I set him to vac/mop combo or solely vacuum, he has no issue. I think this is something I am going to have to troubleshoot. Vacuuming: 9/10 I have zero pets or children at my lake house and usually there are only 2-3 adults here usually. He does a great job at small things, but you have to have him run the course at least twice to get it properly clean. My dark wood floor shows every spec of dirt/salt granule etc. If we have a lot of visible things on the floor, we run him across that area 3 times. My husband spilled a bit of rice on the carpet from a take out and he did a good job of picking that up, which I was impressed with. Note that he makes VACUUM TRACKS. They aren't always even if he's going around furniture, but you can tell when he's gone across the carpet. I think Herbie would struggle with my other house and the four dogs that live there. Mopping: 9/10 You can set him to do deeper cleans with extra water. The only way Herb mops properly is if you crank it up to almost the highest water output setting. It does a good job when the water level is set correctly. Is he as good as a real human cleaner...not quite, but he cleaned up a dried spill of tea on wood floor perfectly. He does a great job on flat surfaces. My bathroom floor is a marble herringbone (small rectangular pieces) and he doesn't do the greatest job around the shower floor drain, as it slopes, but it does a good job on the rest and the marble shines. Because we crank up the water usage, he needs his water chambers refilled and emptied every two to three washes. Battery life: 9/10 This guy can do the whole downstairs on one pass vacuum on one charge, or to do the combo vac/mop at the same time. Deep cleaning / 2x + cycles he needs to charge in between, which he will do on his own, and then he will resume cleaning. App: 8/10 The app that goes with it is mostly intuitive. There are some teething issues with the map editing, but that may be a me problem for not googling a solution yet. Note I am tech savvy, my job is in tech and I have built a computer and design apps, etc., so it should be intuitive without me having to Google it, hence the 8/10. Verdict: This is a great robot vacuum. I bought him because it was the number 1 on the Vacuum Wars website (they do extremely thorough reviews). My cleaner was weekly and had to stop due to an injury, Herbie was paid off in a month...I just wish he did windows.

A Dreame Come True
I purchased this machine 6 months ago. So far, it has been completely trouble-free. The Dreame L50 has made my life a lot easier. We are two adults and a long-haired cat in a 1900 sq. ft. house, all tile floors. I could never keep up with the dust and hair. It drove me insane. I have not had to manually dust or mop since I got the Dreame. I run it once a week on the standard cleaning mode. It runs for 4 hours, picks up all the dust and then mops. The floors actually shine when it’s done! It was super easy to set up the machine and the app has worked great. Maintenance of the unit has so far been simple. Filling clean water tank and emptying dirty water tank manually is easy. I am 100% pleased with this robot. I hesitated in purchasing one for a long time, but now I can’t live without it. Definitely worth the money. Incidentally, as this is a complex piece of equipment, would definitely recommend spending the extra money to get the extended warranty.

Way too expensive for how "okay" it is
I did so much research on this and really thought it was going to be the best of the best. For the price, I had high expectations, but honestly? It’s been a letdown. The Bad: Cleaning is hit or miss: Even on high suction, it still leaves dirt on the floor. When it mops, it’s not much better—it just doesn't seem to clean properly, and I’m constantly wondering if it’s my floors or just a bad design. Gets stuck... a lot: It’s supposed to have "smart" obstacle avoidance, but about 10% of the time it misses something obvious and just gets stuck. I feel like I have to baby it more than I should. The One Good Thing: It does a great job of cleaning its own mop pads (10/10 for that), but that doesn’t help much if the floors themselves aren't actually clean. For a "premium" vacuum, it really misses the mark on the basics. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something you can actually trust to do the job right.

No suction after a month
No suction after a month. Called for support they diagnosed as firmware issue and asked me to ship back for repair. Did not provide packaging, but emailed a disclaimer that I am responsible for correctly packaging on case of shipping damage. 1 - I would expect an appliance that I paid over $1000 for work for longer than a month 2- that I would not have to risk sending my expensive device via UPS to a different province to repair 3- that I would have been offered a replacement Edit-support offered a refurbished replacement upon receipt of my defective device. Still not ideal but want to give credit where due.

Very good product.
Quick take: This is a premium vac-mop that actually cleans well and needs very little babysitting. It shines on hard floors and low to medium pile carpet. Price is high and battery efficiency could be better, but the overall experience feels genuinely hands off. My home and setup Two-bedroom space with hardwood and a couple of low pile rugs, plus a shedding pet. I mapped once, divided rooms, set no-go and no-mop zones, then scheduled daily runs. I use standard suction and medium water for routine cleans, high suction for sandier spots. Build and navigation Lidar mapping is quick and accurate. Obstacle avoidance is reliable enough that I do not pre-clean cables or shoes anymore. The robot keeps a straight path, returns to missed areas, and edges along baseboards without slamming into furniture. Thresholds and room transitions The climbing mechanism gets over door tracks that stop many bots. In practice that means fewer stuck alerts and fewer half-finished runs. It also lifts the mop pads when it rolls onto carpet, so mixed floor plans are not a problem. Vacuuming performance Hard floor pickup is excellent. Crumbs, rice, and pet hair disappear in a single pass, and corners clean up if I angle the side brush into the wall. On rugs, surface debris comes up easily. For gritty sand in the fibers I use a second pass on higher suction and it does the job. Mopping performance The dual spinning pads give real downward pressure, so dried coffee drips and light kitchen stains come up with a slow pass. Carpets stay dry thanks to the auto-lift. Edge coverage is better than average and the floor does not feel overly wet afterward when I keep the water level at medium. Docking and maintenance The base empties the dust, washes the pads with hot water, and dries them. That turns weekly maintenance into quick checks. I still empty the dirty water tank and top up clean water as needed, but I am not scrubbing pads by hand. Battery and noise Noise is apartment friendly on standard power. Battery efficiency is fine for routine daily cleans, and the robot will recharge and resume for bigger jobs. If you want to vacuum on max power for very large spaces, expect a mid-run top up. What I like • Strong pickup on hard floors and pet hair • Reliable obstacle avoidance and room mapping • Threshold climbing that keeps runs continuous • Hands off dock that empties, washes, and dries What to know before buying • Premium price, so watch for promos • Battery efficiency is not class leading on higher suction • Consumables like dust bags, rollers, and pads add to long-term cost • The app is powerful but has a short learning curve to set zones and routines well Bottom line If you want a mostly hands off cleaner that vacuums and mops well and can handle tricky thresholds, this is easy to recommend. I would rate it 4 out of 5 for performance and autonomy, minus a star for the premium price and average battery efficiency on high.
