how do you put this on? is it with a brush?

It comes with a cheap powder puff applicator. I buy extras just in case it gives out before I'm done with the product.

Why does the fair look darker than the light...in picture?

It's probably just the lighting

I am thinking of using darker color as a bronzer. Has anyone tried this?

A Broder has a few shades to it and using a darker color for a bronzer may not give you a natural bronzed look
