This is a lovely pattern with clear instructions. Not complex but a few fiddly bits particularly with hemming the flounce! The bust darts needed adjusting for me but otherwise a good fit (I made the largest size)

Thought it wouldn't be too difficult as it's a wrap dress, bit took about 2 hours to cut out the pattern, and 3 evenings to make - I'm not too experienced though to be fair. Lovely dress though

I am used to Burda patterns, which are without the seam bias. In these one, the biases are included. This means that any correction of the pattern are near impossible. Beside this, they are printed on a very thin tissue paper, which came crushed and required ironing to be usable. Instructions are a bit old fashion, looks like they haven't invented zigzag yet. One note - check the sizes - they are not exactly equivalent to UK stories sizes.

Lovely pattern, I found it very easy to make.

Love this pattern and there's a couple wonderful no fail sew alongs on Youtube for this exact pattern. Very versatile timeless style and the picture on the model doesn't do the actual dress and fit any favors lol. Be advised that Butterick typically allows far too much ease (meaning your dress will be too baggy around the waist/bust) and this pattern is no exception. I had to reorder the pattern again in the next size down category's to allow me to adjust the waist size smaller yet hips larger. Easier to do than most think and the sew alongs show you how to do it beautifully and simply. One thing we don't need in a wrap style dress is a baggy bodice that'll need safety pins for modesty. I'm considered a "confident beginner" so I'm no pro :) If in doubt make the bodice using an old bed sheet or something first and try it on before you cut up your real fabric. You'll be happy you did every time.
