I've been paralyzed from the waist down since a 1992 train accident when I was 17. When I was leaving the hospital they gave me a little care package to help with things you couldn't forsee. One of the things they gave me was a very cheap grabber that broke the 1st week I had it. So, I went to the local medical supply store and ordered the most expensive one they had. $89. They said it wouldn't break. I used it for 30+ years... Then along came Grandchildren. My Grandkids would use it to play. After a few weeks my Grandson brought it back to me and the inner PLASTIC part that pulls the fingers snapped. He was using it like a cane and POP, the PLASTIC part snapped. So, I go online and replace it with the exact same grabber made and sold by the same place. It lasted a week!! Why? Because the company that made it decided to use different, cheaper parts on the inside. The outside was the same strong plastic, the inside was cheap, thin garbage. Why? GREED. Oh, and when I bought the new one it had gone up to $110. For a week. So, I went on Amazon and looked for the highest rated grabber. When I saw these I figured they'd break like the last one, within a week, since they didn't look strong. However, bc of Amazon's "we'll take it back no matter what you do to it" policy i gave it a shot. And I figured since there's two I can use the other one while I waited to get the new one. Well, I don't have to worry. These are great! Nice and strong. The fingers are sturdy and grab even small items. I'm a coin dealer by trade and I drop coins all the time. My expensive grabber was useless bc of the shape of the fingers. However, this one grabs even the thinnest dime with ease. It also has a built in magnet to grab metal. It's strong too! Being in a wheelchair so long I've learned one thing: Now matter where you are, if you drop something it's going to end up out of reach. Things NEVER drop where you can just bend over and grab them. I can be in the kitchen and drop something and it still ends up under the middle of my bed 3 rooms away. The rule never breaks itself. Now I don't care. Drop something, grab the grabber and grab it. These are longer than my old ones so that's helpful too. However, if you drop something close to you it's a little long to use. So, I'm going to buy another set of shorter ones so I can solve that problem. Best part? I gave my Grandson my old ones and a pair of safety glasses and let him take them outside to destroy. He's 7, he loves breaking things just like I did. I also bought him a set of his own tools so I can show him how to repair things too. All in all these are great. Grabbers make life so much easier. Drop a pill? Grabber. Need a pillow on the other side of the bed and you're in your chair? Grabber. Daughter puts away your favorite glass on the top shelf, out of reach (every time!!)? Grabber. Very handy grabber. Light weight, perfect for girlfriend. Well constructed, the fold in half feature is convenient for storage. Best Bang for the Buck

These things have made a huge leap in quality from the little grabber toy I had as a kid, I'm impressed with it. It folds in half, you can turn the grabber claw horizontal and vertical, and there's a magnet on the end. Hard to imagine how it could be improved.

It is a light weight grabber tool, that can safely grab items that are in low hard to reach spaces. A plus is that it is foldable, which makes it easy to put in a draw when not in use. I wouldn't use it for heavy items that are up high on a shelf though.

I like that this is collapsible and has a firm grip. I'm looking forward to using it after my surgery

I go through a lot of these pucker upper things and this is by far the best one! It’s lightweight but works great! Very sturdy!

Substantial grab tool. Made well and easy to use. Magnet was a bonus. Did not realize it had a magnet when I ordered it. Excellent purchase for my husband who has mobility issues. Will probably buy more.
