Two big problems with these towels. One, they seem to be loaded up heavy with fabric softener. I saw another reviewer declare these towels don't dry well, they just "push" water, and that's what fabric softener does to towels (it ruins them). I really hate fabric softener, it doesn't belong on towels. Although I washed these towels, a normal wash would not remove the fabric softener behavior - slimy chemical feel and not really absorbant. So I put these in a "stripping" bath (a wash procedure to strip chemical softener from towels), and that seemed to do the trick. I hate needing to spend hours cleaning towels that just came from the manufacturer. If you are curious, a good test is to get your finger tips wet with a small amount of water and flick it onto a mirror. Then wipe the water drops off the mirror with the towel in one swipe. Are there streaks? A good towel that is cleaned well will leave minimal streaks. When these towels were new, they left a lot of streaks. After stripping wash cycle (soaking in borax, soda etc), they still leave minor streaks, but OK. My other problem with these towels is they don't seem to have the advertised weight. The seller says 820 GSM, but I measured. These have an area of 1.16 square meters, so at 820 GSM, they should weigh 950 grams, but they only weigh 870 grams, so this equates to 750 GSM, not 820 GSM. So, I paid for material I didn't receive. Other weird things? These white towels have labels that say "no chlorine bleach" and "cold water wash only". Why? These little quirks were not on the item description. I don't recommend these towels. For those that bought and love them, great. But if you haven't bought yet, I claim you can do better elsewhere.

For the last 12 years I only bought Macey’s Hotel Collection towels. Their quality went down hill and I searched for a replacement. These towels are it. If you like thick, soft, luxury feeling towels, these are it.

It’s very heavy and substantial compared to other towels. The quality is soft and fluffy. Easy to wash. I usually wash it alone. Can’t go wrong with white. The size is hella big.

Have tried many brands of towels. These towels were rated high by Consumer Reports so I tried them. I love them so far. Absorbent. Quick drying. Nice weight.

I thought at this price point, these towels would feel significantly more plush than my target brand Casaluna 79% cotton 21% modal towels. I was very wrong. Even though I bought these at black Friday sale price, they're still much more costly. The price does not justify the feel of the towels. Also the target modal towels dry much better and stay dry the entire time I am drying my body after a shower while these start to feel wet. Returned as I didn't get that luxury towels vibe I was paying for.
