My daughter (7) is super into critters and bugs. She had waited for these little guys with such anticipation and was so excited when they arrived! We were lucky and got a couple extra caterpillars, which all morphed into beautiful butterflies. One was unfortunately deformed, but that's because the chrysalis never attached to the top of the container's paper cover. But we are able to feed it and will keep it throughout it's little butterfly life! All of my kids found this super educational and cool! I will say that my daughter wanted to hold and handle her caterpillars but the instructions say to keep them inside the container until they form their chrysalis'. So that was a little bummer for her. However, overall a great learning experience and we'd likely do it again!

This was a great classroom activity. We were given a butterfly enclosure and wanted to give the kids the experience but the full ready made kits are so expensive. This has easy to folly instructions as well as videos to watch if you needed them. The caterpillars do all the work. We had five beautiful butterflies to release. They hatched at different times and even though two fell off and we just hung them back on they were all beautiful and flew. We can’t wait to get more next year!!!

Ours came with 6. They were quick to grow and did well up until it was time to release them, one of them died. They were really aggressive towards one another. We have done this 3 times with a different brand with no issues. This was the first time trying this one

We love watching the catapillers turn into beautiful butterfly. They seem to be in great health. Very easy process for all ages. We use this for homeschool education. The only thing that i wish was better was the tracking information. It didnt tell us where it was and it stated it would be here tomorrow and than ended up being delivered to our mail box without notice. Mind you we live in arizona and if I hadn't looked, they could of easily not survived our mail box!

The good part is that I received 6 live caterpillars instead of 5. The less good part is that they arrived when they were fully grown and hanging from the top. That means I missed about a week of their development because of the delivery timing. Will not buy this particular product again because I like watching the caterpillars grow from little babies.
