Prior to receiving this grooming set I had thought I would have to body clip my very thick wavy standard doodle, but I now think I will be able to keep her mat-free at a length of two inches or so. I have a good selection of slicker brushes and grooming rakes ad combs already, but this rake seems to actually get the knots out. The slicker brush works very well too, but we are talking masses of hair tying itself into knots constantly. All pieces are well made and easy to use. The grooming rake removes unbelievable amounts of hair and leaves my girl's hair shiny. I try to be gentle but firm and these tools make it possible for my pup to tolerate grooming happily. I do give frequent kibble for treats and lots of praise, but the efficiency of these grooming tools help immensely. I recommend them and I think they are a great value.

As soon as I received this item, I opened it up and used the grooming rake on my seven-year-old German Shepherd and I was so amazed by all the hair that I was able to get off of her. I thought that I had brushed her and combed her and got the hair out, but after using this rake, I was shocked by how much I was able to get off of her. I know she feels 100% better and she is so comfortable and with this hot weather coming I know that she’ll be cooler. I just want to recommend this to everyone who has a German Shepherd and all your long haired pups this is definitely amazing and wow, what an outstanding price it can’t be. I really recommend this to everyone it’s easy to use. It is the perfect size. It is very sturdy and handles very well in my hand and Athena is long hair and it works perfect on her.

This set is made very sturdy. I expected a cheap set, but it's not cheaply made. All the pieces are easy to handle. The brushes really remove the hair on my Shepherds undercoat like I need it too They are easy to hold on to since my dog's hair is a bit long. Nail clippers cut nicely too. I am impressed especially being a previous groomer and spend a lot of money on these types of things. My Shepherd loves it, so it is pet friendly

Very easy to use. The products quality is amazing. I love how easy the hair brush is makes brushing so much faster. I use this for my German Shepherd and it works great for her. Only caveat is the flea comb won’t last long meaning it will probably break overtime I say that because it arrived with the bristles bent I’m assuming from shipping.

Fabulous price of kit, love using it

The flea comb is very tough to work with on double coated dogs, but if fine for finer coats. Double coated dogs are difficult to deal with, especially in colder seasons. Too much hair! It isnt currently shedding season, but the design of the deshedding tool looks like it will work. I've always used a rake designed for double coats, and while it works, my dog doesnt like it. A deshedding season takes weeks to get through. This one looks like it will help by getting through the tangles easier. After 50 years of dealing with double coated dogs, you get to recognize what works and what doesnt. I have high hopes for this product. What really shines is the slicker. I have several that I've tried but I like this one the best. I can get my beast of a dog to sit longer with this slicker than any other I've tried. And the self cleaning feature? Why hasn't anyone thought of this before? What a great idea!! Brush, push a button to retract all of the wires, and the hair comes right off! I'm amazed. Such a simple concept, and it works perfectly. I originally thought it was just going to be a marketing gimmick, but it isn't. Without this, more than half the time grooming with a slicker on a Husky or Malamute is wrestling with the brush. By the time to get the brush cleaned, the dog is long gone. No longer!

We have a border Aussie mix and he has a lot of hair. This comb, in particular, the one with the hooks work really well to get through his very thick and fluffy coat. I find with the one with hooks which is one that's pictured. You need to be gentle and work through the coat as though you're working through your daughter tangled mess of hair. If you try to go too deep or too fast he will definitely whine. The include tick comb is good to find ticks although on our breed there's just so much fur it's they're hard to spot regardless. And finally what I call the fishing comb which is that has Auto cleaning is good for our phone work. Once most of them mattered hair is loose and free. If you look at the photo, that's just after 5 minutes of combing. Again, if you're gentle, you can get through lots of the fur that would normally fall off inside your home. This is a very very good kit. Highly recommended for anyone with double coat dogs.

The star of this set is the deshedding tool. I have a double-coated breed and she sheds at every season. This tool alone makes the set worth it. It removes a good volume of loose fur in just a few passes and my dog who hates getting brushed, didn't mind it as much. The slicker brush and metal comb deliver a more average performance. The brush has hard thick bristles. It works fine for quick daily brushes, but I felt it wasn't as effective as my old brush. The set feels solid and comfortable in hand and for it's performance, it delivers good overall value.
