I wanted an entry mid level Gaming Laptop. I got much more than expected. And I haven't powered it up yet. I received an alert this morning that my Saturday delivery was most likely coming Monday. Across the country I understand. However, I received it today Friday. Unboxed and everything is perfect. I know for a fact this item was produced almost 2 years ago and has been boxed for some time. The packing is perfect. Like I pulled it off the shelf myself. Kudos Amazon, and a very nice product by ASUS. I already get the feeling im going to get hooked on their brand,.. next year a ROG!?? 😁 Well done ASUS

Been using this laptop for a few months. In general it does great with the games I play, runs Civilization 7 and several other games I have tried pretty well, battery life isn't great but thats pretty typical for this sort of laptop. Its more than fast enough for all normal productivity tasks. I travel for work and so I bought it mostly to use for work when I travel but I like to play games in the hotel. It can be a bit loud if the fan is running full out, but under most conditions its fairly quiet and can get pretty warm on your lap if you are say playing games on the couch. Overall I have been very happy especially at the price I paid back in NOV.

This thing is extremely slick. Even though looking right at a picture, I still didn't expect it to be so futuristic looking, it's very cool. Booted through all the usual welcome junk, established account etc, and imported all my settings and bookmarks no problem. Then immediately disabled all the M$ bloat i could and chained that monster to the wall in shackles. Running on chrome, disabled the blinky keyboard in settings (now its just solid backlit a sinister red). And we're off to the races. The response is very immediate and "buttery" as they say, and the screen is very sharp - I went to check out some 4K nature stuff, and it's incredibly sharp and vivid in fullscreen. I don't know how it games, I didn't buy it for that. I bought it so I can have multiple tabs open, a movie, and still browse other things and open new tabs without it getting bogged down, which it is more than adequate for. Good price for this powerful of a laptop, it's obviously trying to compete with some really high end machines and doing a pretty good job of it. But beware, it is BIG. This is a portable battle-station, doesn't make for a very sleek backpack laptop to lug around as a daily driver. I normally don't buy for looks, so i would've walked right past this in the store, but the guts came in this cool package and I admit, I like the sci-fi appearance - even if I'm not their target audience.

I’ve had nothing but issues with the touchpad on this my F16. The touchpad started to randomly not responding intermittently for 2-5 seconds right after the return windows closed…I sent the laptop to ASUS for warranty work and they told me they replaced the entire touchpad module and the issue came right back after about a month of use again. ASUS won’t let me exchange the laptop with the same model for some reason which I think is completely valid because the laptop is DEFECTIVE. I’ve done everything imaginable to try to fix the issue (driver reinstall,driver rollback,clean reinstall of windows) and the issue is still here. I’ve been messaging back and forth with support about fixes and updates that they said would fix the problem and it hasn’t. If you get a laptop like mine with ANY touchpad issues AT ALL immediately return it! This is absolutely ridiculous for a $1000 laptop.

Arrived perfectly and quickly. Hubby loves it. Bonus we didn't realize when we purchased....the keyboard glows different colors. It looks awesome.
