The product arrived with scratches a chips over it, considering the price tag I am highly disappointed and wouldn’t recommend

I purchased this just to have on hand for emergencies, and never took it out of the box because I thought it was glass. Months later we had our well water tested. Results came in two days before we had 8 family members arriving from all over for an important occasion. Nightmare— our water was found to be unsafe to drink. The guy from the lab said he didn’t know of any standard filter pitchers that would help in our situation.. but I went to the life straw website and looked up the details, and became quite confident that this would do the trick. I immediately busted this beauty out and was really pleased to find that it’s actually some form of plastic— one less thing to worry about. Was easy to set up. Beautiful design, the light lilac color is lovely, and it has a huge capacity. The water tastes great. When it’s full it’s too heavy so we pour into a smaller pitcher to keep in the fridge. This has been a real life saver for us while we work on getting a full property filtration system set up, and will also be super handy in power outages when we aren’t able to use running water. (I live in a rural place and we get power outages frequently).

Water test as what it should!

Wanted a glass filter, this one says it is borosilicate glass (like a Pyrex dish) but out of the box, it is obviously plastic.

Well made and filters water well. 10 cup model is large and may be a little heavy when filled as expected. 7 cup version would require less strength when fully filled.
