I bought a Intex brand pool vacuum thinking my pool was an Intex. I quickly found out differently. Instead of returning the vacuum I looked for an adapter piece. This piece worked perfectly. No adjustments needed. Put it on top of the filter and the intex vacuumed worked great!

I’m surprised this little piece of $12 plastic didn’t just come with the pool itself. But it somewhat worked and got the job mostly done. The pool design itself is a poor design I am not sure why it’s not set up like the intex pools.

This has to be one of the most expensive piece of plastic I've ever purchased. $25 dollars... for this? lol! Should be $10 bucks... at best. Actually, it's something that *should've came with the pool*! That said, it does exactly as described and fits my canister perfectly (see picture). I purchased this so I can vacuum the bottom of the pool using the suction of the filter/pump setup that came with the pool.I have it mated to this hose:  Northlight Blue Blow-Molded PE In-Ground Swimming Pool Vacuum Hose with Swivel Cuff 18' x 1.25" which then connects to this vacuum head:  Pool Central 11" Deluxe Triangular Transparent Blue Weighted Vinyl Liner Swimming Pool Vacuum Head ...all of which is cheaper than this plastic plate, lol! Good luck finding it cheaper. I tried. This is what you get when you need to buy something that requires a proprietary shape.You'll need to buy a pole too. I just picked a full sized, 14ft "Mainstays" pole at Walmart for around $25 which is way too big but at least sturdy.One thing I should mention: I have an intex 2500 GPH filter pump attached to my Summer Wave's skimmer canister as an upgrade over the tiny pump my pool kit came with. The plastic of this vacuum plate is so thin, it visibly distorts under the suction power of that pump and it may even break it eventually. I may have to rig a way to support this plate, or somehow lessen the strength of my pump as I don't want to pay for another overpriced flimsy plastic vacuum plate later.My pool: Summer Waves 12'x33" 'above ground pool' with SFX600 filter pump, made by Polygroup.

I purchased hose and vacuum that work with this item. Easily converts filter to vacuum. Poor suction if you don't completely fill hose with water prior to vacuuming. Works well when I use the return to push the air out of the hose before connection. Overall a much better choice than using a vacuum with a connected filter bag that attaches to garden hose.If you don't have algae build up this will keep your pool clean.

I have summer waves pool with skimmer with a 1,000 gph pool pump. I bought this to be able to vacuum out my pool. It works great! I have had it for a couple months now with no issues. I would definitely buy again if needed
