Cotton Select 100% Cotton Yarn, 4 Skein Assorted Color Surprise Package

This yarn is great! It is so soft that it almost feels buttery. I have not blocked my project yet, and if the softness changes for the worse after blocking, I will update this review. The yarn is on the finer side, but I cannot gauge what size it is. At first inspection, it seems like fingering weight / sock yarn, but when doubled, it becomes worsted, almost chunky. So I am going to say that this is sport / DK weight yarn. (though I am still unsure haha) The colors in the product photos need to be updated, because they are more saturated than depicted. All of the colors seemed earthy from the photos, but they are very much true to color. The yellow is YELLOW. The white is WHITE. And so on. The brown/tan, however, is actually more of a peach. This actually hurt my project because I really needed a brown to ground all of the bright colors. Though I am not dissatisfied with the colors, I think the project would have been much more pleasing to the eye, had I been provided a tan/brown rather than a peach. Overall, I’m satisfied with the products and will continue to use them whenever I have gift knitting that calls for DK weight yarn, because I don’t want to use expensive yarn for something that may not fit or be worn by the recipient. It is a great price for wonderful yarn. I will just have to remember to keep in mind that the colors are more saturated than they appear.

Super soft and easy to work with. The skeins where a little smaller then I'm used to working with but besides that I works great for clothes. It's super lightweight and pretty. The colors are super saturated.

I purchased 5 4-packs (reds, oranges, purples, greens, and blues) for a garment I’m crocheting. As you can (hopefully!) see from the photo, the colors are beautiful and mix well with each other. The yarn is thinner than advertised (maybe a weight of 1 instead of 2) but it’s perfect for the light, lacy look I want. The background yarn (denim blue from a different company) is actually a 2 weight, and I have no difficulty working them together. I’m using a D hook (3.0 mm), and it’s the perfect size for this yarn. I’m enjoying working with this yarn because of its softness and how smoothly it flows as I’m using it. Also, the cheerful colors don’t hurt! I’m already starting to plan my next garment with this yarn!

Smaller and thinner than I thought

Initially, I thought this listing was a little sketchy, based on the photos provided, but I am so glad I took a chance and purchased this yarn! I like to make reusable produce bags and I wanted to make a set of them for my sister-in-law for her birthday. The craft store near me doesn’t have many color options for the lightweight cotton yarn I like to use for them, so I went to Amazon and found this listing. I ordered the color Tidal and it’s beautiful and vibrant. It was about the same cost to buy a set of four skeins of 180yds on Amazon as buying four of 138yds at the craft store, but more convenient with more options! I will purchase again.

This did NOT come as pictured. The quality of yarn is there for what it is. It is very thin and not what I searched for. When I looked at the photos, the yarn appeared thicker. This would be good for fine knitting projects with much smaller stitches. If that is what you need, this is a great product. Also, the mixed colors are a great option if you don’t need a lot for your project or are looking to mix and match the colors.

I used these for Amigurumi, crocheted minis. They are just a bit thinner than scheepjes Catona and work much better with my 1.75mm hook. With the 40 pack you get a very nice selection of colors including multiple shades of white/cream/ecru/tan. Doesnt split easily, not much of a sheen. These are good size 50grm balls, not Bon Bons and I received a nice gift of a measuring tape. I would purchase again.

I really thought for that price the ad meant we were xo receiving the entire group of 40 balls of colours. Instead the red were only 4 in the package I received. I would never have paid that amount for only 4 balls! The picture and description should have clearly portrayed only 4 balls- not 40 balls!

لقد طلبته وهو من حيث الخامه جميل جدا ، بكن عتبي عليكم انكم تعرضون 28 قطعة مع ان الطلب فيه فقط 4 حبات من الصوف واعتبره نوع من التحايل على المشتري اذ ان المشتري قد لا ينتبه الى ان الوصف يحوي انه 4 قطع ، فلقد اعتدنا منكم ان ما تعرضوه بالضبط هو السلعه تماما كما في كل بضائعكم التي تم طلبها من قبل ، لقد ارجعت الطلب فلم اعلم ان 4 حبات فقط ستكلفني 74 درهم شامل التوصيل 🤦🏻‍♀️

I love the soft texture and the color. I'm really hoping for a restock. I definitely want to buy it again!!
