Must have for pattern baldness/ stress shedding hair!
I was really struggling with thinning hair. Specifically pattern/ stress related baldness at my crown and moving down in a T shape. Silk caps, satin pillows, product-still thinning. I found two/3 all natural hair care lines that i loved and my existing hair started to thrive but once i added this? Game changer. I don't have a before and after but i can tell you before i was experiencing an itchiness and tightness and sometimes pain/discomfort in my scalp in these areas. For this, I try to take a teaspoon or tablespoon every other day or so. My scalp is not longer tight or tingling. The shedding has slowed down considerably as well. The hairs don’t feel like they are coming out of my scalp anymore. Before it felt like I could feel them slipping out of the follicles. I can feel new growth and my roots thickening each time I twist my hair. This is a must have for women over 40 concerned with losing hair. Follow the directions, it’s tasty to me. I have 4c hair so seeing growth is slow but I can feel the baldness going away. It’s also the main active ingredient in Nutrofol.

So far so good - just started using it
I'm on a ketogenic diet, so was cautious about buying this, as I was concerned it might be syrupy and high in carbs. It is sweet tasting, but is not overly high in carbohydrates. One teaspoon has 3 grams of carbs, of which 1 gram is sugar. (Taking a teaspoon a day would be a good alternative to eating a bowl full of berries or fruit, which can give you ten or twenty times that much fruit sugar.) It contains 60 mg. Of vitamin C. There are 125 mg. of trans-resveratrol per serving. Some people have written that they love the taste; others that they hate it. I suspect those who hated it wanted something more sugary. I prefer things not too sweet, so like it.The ingredients include Red Grape Juice Concentrate, Trans-Resveratrol [Polygonum cuspidatum] [99% Root Extract], Muscadine Grape Juice Extract, Muscadine Grape Pomace Extract, Red Grape Pomace Extract, Pomegranate Juice Concentrate, Red Raspberry Juice Concentrate, Purple Corn Cob Extract. It also contains Vegetable Glycerin, Purified Water, Xanthan Gum, ginger rhizome, amla fruit, and capsicum fruit.

The right stuff
First let me satisfy the very basics which amazon is so wont for someone to do for them:Supplemental FactsServing Size: 1 Teaspoon (5 ml)Servings Per Container: 30Calories 50Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) 60 mg 100%Proprietary Resveratrol Blend (RestoreVetrol)[Trans-Resveratrol 99% (Polygonum cuspidatum), Red Wine Extract, Extracts of: Noble Red and Carlos Variety Fresh Muscadine Grape juice, Seed & Skin, Concord Red Grape Extract, (yielding 125 mg of trans-resveratrol)]. 1040 mgProprietary ORAC Blend(Pomegranate, Red Raspberry and Purple Corn Extract) 700 mgQuercetin 27 mgWhat I can say about this blend is that it's very good for the cost that Vitacost is selling it at, and until recently amazon as well (they've since raised the price by $4). It's a very tasty sweet blend that I trust for purity because the company is clearly responsible as a manufacturer here in the US. They have their own facilities where they grow the native Muscadine grapes. Studies have shown that the skins of these grapes have a powerful effect against prostate cancer, combined with resveratrol they provide a powerful 2 stage weapon against that form. The enzyme in the grape skins has an immediate effect against the cancer- attacking it in it's formation and causing cancer apoptosis (cell suicide). Resveratrol meanwhile trapped the cancer and used a passive means to arrest the production of the cancer cells. That is the advantage you are getting with this supplement, the combination of that grape in a fresh whole form with the resveratrol.Secondly the benefit of this supplement is that you are getting a whole food source of resveratrol which the Japanese Knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum) that is used ubiquitously for resveratrol does not provide. Doctors recommend you get a whole food source of resveratrol like red wine extract because it has an effect through your palette and your olfactory senses as well as your blood. To taste it is to believe it so to speak. Now for cost benefit I like to use this very sparingly diluted in my homemade kombucha daily, while I take Source Naturals Resveratrol 200mg, 120 VCaps as well. But I consider this enough of an additional whole food source to provide me with what I need. Yes, drinking red wine can be that as well, but not just because there's so little resveratrol in it you would have to drink a lot. It's also because only certain wine grape crops which have developed an enzyme to fight off a fungus make resveratrol. When companies like this look for grapes they find the ones that have that resveratrol enzyme in them.

Excellent Resveratrol
I have been using this resveratrol for my special needs son for almost 2 years now. The flavor is a little strong but it does taste good, so I can mix it into his yogurt and it blends well with it, and he eats it with no problem. Personally, I can take it straight from a spoon. It is a bit thick and the bottle needs to be shaken every time or there will be extra tannin-like sediments at the bottom. This is indicative of quality resveratrol product, so that is a good thing.

Ok product
Tastes good, but very difficult to get the liquid all off the teaspoon - it can be pretty thick. Follow the directions - not sure if it works.
