Horrible product, only lasted a month.

This is the third time I bought one of these little woodturning lathes. The previous two that I bought were just so cheap and flimsy I couldn't use them. This one actually has a little beef to it for such a little thing. But I am very happy with it and I will make more money doing Christmas ornaments than the very reasonable price that they charge for this product. My suggestion is by this one and quit looking at the others cuz they suck...

Bought this as a gift for husband and son who are just getting into crafting with wood; turning down wood for making fishing lures, wooden pens and toys. So far they are quite pleased with the product. They've used the lathe several times already. The lathe works well, is for small projects. The value of the lathe was an excellent price. I can easily foresee an upgrade in the near future. I would recommend this product highly.

Initially, I had planned to return. Mine was purchased as a return from someone else. Some parts missing. The thing would run, then abruptly shut down. Thought I would give it a second chance. I did yesterday. It ran ok. I am a professional cabinetmaker. I wanted this miniature lathe for basically one thing. I am turning top water fishing baits. I took some time yesterday and crafted a custom table, complete with vacumn pickup and custom tool rest. Mine was shipped without the tiny barb to hold material into the Chuck. I made my own. This is a foreign made product. You take your chances. Simply put, didn’t wanna spend a lot of money. I ran it yesterday and it performed well. Time will tell.
