I used this light for a rather unique need - to illuminate the side of our boat. I used to have a light powered by a separate solar panel, but the light eventually collected water and died. I wanted a light with its own, self-contained solar panel and battery, and one that would last all night, so I looked for lights that have 4000 mAh or bigger batteries, and at least 300 lumens. This one has it all, plus extra features such as an RF remote.PROS:1. 3 brightness settings. This isn't immediately obvious, and the instructions aren't particularly well translated from Chinese, but there is a very dim mode (about 75 lumens), a dim mode (250 lumens) and bright mode (900 lumens). The modes are as follows: 1 - very dim, full bright when motion detected 2 - off, full bright when motion detected 3 - dim all night, no motion detection 4 - manual - full bright for 30 minutes2. The remote is RF. This is a big plus because it means you can change the settings from out of line of sight. I could change them from inside the boat (this may pose a challenge when I add a second light).3. Self-contained light, solar panel and battery4. IP-65. Critical for a marine environment. Waterproof.5. Smaller than I expected, and bright for the buck.CONS:1. Instructions. I get what they are saying, but it is a poor English translation of Chinese.2. This is more of a feature request - it would be nice if the motion time (currently fixed to 15 seconds) was adjustable. Ditto with the intensity settings. Perhaps this could be for a future, premium version.

This unit does work as advertised but will create some issues if it is used outside of its limits, which is what happened to me. I needed a light that was able to run all night long for my address sign, so mine is set to “always light mode”. This unit will almost run all night if it has about 10 or more hours of direct sunlight. And that’s where mine has issues. If the day is cloudy or partly cloudy or as the days get shorter, as they do, here in Michigan, the run time gets much too short. Today is a good example, the day was mostly cloudy all day and the light was only on for about 3 hours. So, I can’t really fault the unit and this review is just for information only and to suggest careful evaluation of the area that in which you plan to use it and advise against trying to use it for all night lighting purposes.

This is the best out of four different other solar lights I tested over the past 4 months (three had to go back they were just that bad).I am giving it four stars because of two things, one known, one yet unknown.The known issue : The sensor is not great at picking up movement in a wide radius and under certain weather conditions.The unknown issue : Will it last. The quality is plastic, it looks OK, not great, but will it last. I bought the four year warranty from amazon just in case....Overall, a solid four.

these lights are awesome. we have 4 in our back yard. we have it set on the first setting so its always dim, unless it detects movement and then it goes full brightness. i do wish i could adjust the time it stays on full brightness, but that is a very small gripe. i highly recommend these lights. they are easy to install. two screws and its mounted. we have cameras out back and when our dog walks around the yard, the lights turn on for her and we can see her on the cameras. they stay on all night without issue. make sure they have good clear path to sunlight during the day to get full charge. if you had any doubt about these lights, then i can tell you from my experience dont. we have had 2 for about 6 months and got two more. they are absolutely worth it.

These are very nice and bright. The only thing I wish that they would have a switch on them to shut off permanently We use these at our campground. And so in the winter we don’t want them to turn on,,,so we take them down and store in our camper for the winter. I’ll have to see how it works in the spring. But otherwise their bright and easy to put up.

After cycling through dozens of similar lights on Amazon, I settled on this one. It arrived very well-packed. It's simple to install. It is very bright and has a decent output radius for the price. The remote works from the distance I needed (~25 feet). It is a little disappointing that it does not save what light mode you left it in, but I didn't buy it for that. The housing unit, swivel arm, and base are all plastic. I do have a concern that the base seems a little flimsy, given that I live where wind gusts get between 50 and 65 MPH, but we'll see.The outer instructions in English could use a little proof reading and grammar changes.Overall very happy with the product thus far!

This is a great little light for adding a bit of brightness to your backyard. It is easy to install and has multiple mounting options (i.e. pole and wall). The light works well. A couple items to note. First, the light is fairly bright in a dark yard, but this is not a high lumen security light. If you are looking for a high lumen security light you should should look for another option. Second, as noted by others, the remote is not the best. It works, but it is inconsistent and often requires the user to be very close to the light for the remote to work.

I like the Product, the only thing that needs to be improved upon is the Mounting Base. It would be a Much better product if the Mounting Base was Made of Metal rather then the Plastic. I am Concerned that The Plastic Base will Crack at some point and the Product will not be Usable if the base Cracks. Quality Improvement Needed.. Make the base Metal which will Last a Lot Longer.
