Best home switch on the market. It will blow your mind.
It benefits from the full mature enterprise-grade UbiQuiti software. It has every feature you could possibly imagine, and then some more, and is very slick. This unit is easy to use, 100% reliable. Just be aware this model does not have built in wifi. That's a good thing because it's 8x 10G ports and a powerful CPU. instead. Not everybody needs 10g ports, or even 10g. To get wifi on this, you'll need an external Ubiquiti UniFi U6+ or the UbiQuiti U7-PRO if you want 6-7G. This unit combined with the UbiQuiti U7-PRO is far more powerful and flexible, and around the same price as the Ubiquiti UDR7 UniFi Dream Router 7 which has built-in wifi, but takes up a lot of space. If you want wifi built in, perhaps the UbiQuiti UDR7 is worth a look, or Ubiquiti UDR7 UniFi Dream Router 7 to match this router. With these two options you can get a stand that makes it look like R2D2! Nothing else on the market comes remotely close.

A homelab upgrade that actually feels like an upgrade
Picked up the Ubiquiti UCG-FIBER as part of a bit of a homelab upgrade and it has been fantastic so far. Setup through the UniFi interface was quick and painless, and within minutes the network was up, running, and behaving far better than my previous setup. Performance has been excellent. It handles high-speed fibre, multiple VLANs, and a house full of devices without breaking a sweat. The SFP+ connectivity is a great addition if you're running faster networking or planning to grow your setup. It’s one of those devices where you realise pretty quickly it’s built for people who actually enjoy managing their network rather than just plugging things in and hoping for the best. Since installing it, everything has been faster and noticeably more stable. My homelab now has a gateway that finally feels like it belongs there instead of a consumer router nervously trying its best. Also worth mentioning — it’s silent, compact, and runs cool, which means it quietly sits there doing its job while the rest of the lab makes the noise. If you're already using the UniFi ecosystem or building a serious home network, this is an excellent gateway. Five stars from me — my homelab approves.

Great product
Had no problems setting up and worked quickly. Very good for the price. But does have a lack of ports even though the ports are 2.5GB

It should tick all the boxes but let down by UniFi OS issues
I should preface this with the fact I run dual WAN in failover with policy based routing, 1 is DHCP, the other PPPoE, so for a single WAN setup, the experience could differ. First the positives, the UCG-Fiber is a good, small form factor router that offers 2.5G and 10G routing at a reasonable price, running UniFi OS which on paper should be great. Setup is extremely straightforward and with basic network knowledge, a user will be online in minutes, VLANs are easy to manage and integration with the greater UniFi ecosystem is amazing. Firewall zones are a great addition offering further ease of management with a simple UI. The option to add an additional NVMe for UniFi protect is great and whilst I did have some issues with Reolink cameras RTSP streams staying up, the overall convenience of this was fantastic. Now for some of the issues I experienced, first policy based routing, this is not quite as intuitive as one would expect coming from pfSense, from what I could tell, you cannot change priority of routing within the UI and this led to occasional issues where a new route would not work, removing and re-applying an overlapping route would fix this issue but I would have liked the option to re-order the list. Additionally if you have a UniFi L3 switch, policy based routing simply does not work and traffic will use the default gateway only, whilst this shouldn't be an issue as the UCG-Fiber officially supports hardware offloading and hardware acceleration, as of the time of writing, this has its own issues within the OS causing regular packet loss. Next was related to the OS, this may be fixed in a later update but the freezing within the UI and need for regular reboots after the 5.0.10 update made the device a pain to manage. Overall the UCG-Fiber should have been the perfect router but the constant bugs and routing issues led me to return this and switch back to pfSense, I'm sure that Ubiquiti will iron out the issues over time and my review will be redundant and out of date but for now, I can't recommend it, despite how much I wish I could.

European plugtop
Looks good but came with a European plugtop rather than a UK plugtop.

Money well spent
I have used uxc ultra before but I did not have controller and had to host it locally on my server you can use even raspberrypi to do it or buy controller the difference is incredible I don't have disconnect and network delay and I get the full bandwidth of 1gig download plus extra ports and sweet 10 gig support for future upgrades

Good router, careful with the order details…
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a solid product… but I feel a bit misled as it was listed well above the local Japanese price ordering direct from the manufacturer… and it was shipped from overseas with a long delay at customs that simply wasn’t necessary, and makes life more difficult given that it came with a US three prong power plug. Overall, I’d say it’s a really great router for prosumer home or small business use… just, maybe read all the fine print carefully - not everything is shipped from Amazon or even from your home country! Oof.
