I bought this after purchasing a new Mesa Rectoverb 25 head and Mini Rec cabinet. The amp shipped with a 25 foot 12 gauge AWG speaker cable. Since the rest of my rig is cabled up with Mogami, I decided to purchase this 3-foot cable. I didn't think or expect it to change the sound that much. Boy was I wrong! Smoother highs, tighter low end. Everything just seems so much smoother in terms of attack and percussive chugging. Again, I really did not think that this was going to have much of an effect whatsoever. I just wanted a shorter speaker cable. I got much more. I would definitely purchase this again.

This cable has a very balanced and natural sound. I used the cable that came with the amp and it was ok. Then I bought a Hosa Edge cable to replace it. It was an improvement, but it seemed to lean toward the bright side. The Mogami really seems to have a more balanced and natural feel to it. It also seems to have a little more clarity. I also like that the Mogami is not as huge and bulky as the Hosa Edge. The Hosa is probaly around 1/2" diameter or bigger and the ends on it are enormous. The Mogami is the same size as an instrument cable.

I'm not sure if the price justifies this short of a cable, but I have to say it does make the guitar tone clean and balanced.

Is this cable expensive? Yes Is this cable worth it? For me, yes I was looking for a pair of short high-quality speaker cables for my guitar amp to interface with a Universal Audio OX. These cables were exactly what I was looking for.

In May 2021, I bought a big Marshall amp and speaker cabinet. Rather than use the "thin" amp to speaker cord provided, I bought a GLS Audio Speaker Cable 1/4" to 1/4" - 12 AWG Professional Bass/Guitar Speaker Cable for Amp. Between May and October 2021, I chased unwanted distortion in my expensive Marshall gear. Finally, I purchased this Mogami GOLD SPEAKER-03 Amplifier-to-Cabinet Speaker Cable and my distortion disappeared! This cord is absolutely worth the extra cost!
