This thing is GREAT!!! Easy to put together. We mounted it on treated 2x4 so we can skid it around the yard to new grass patches. We rescued a feral mother cat and 4 kittens. They have been living in my tiny bathroom!

So this might be a unique purpose for this catio. Long story short, I fostered this tuxedo cat who needed emergency surgery for a bladder problem. He was unable to urinate and almost died. He was thriving at my house for months until suddenly my other cat started guarding the litter boxes and would attack him if he tried. So then the tuxedo cat was going potty on the floor anywhere he could. So I got this catio, built it without the lower shelves and without the lounging bowl (I might modify that later,) and I put a litter box and food in here. I am also custom installing a microchip entrance door once he’s used to being in here. Then only he will have access to to catio and he will have a safe place to go to eat and potty whenever he wants to. Overall it’s sturdy while being lightweight. I built it downstairs and dragged it upstairs when it was done. The smell was weird but not terrible and is fading. The instructions were fairly easy but not super easy. Installation took me about 3 or more hours.

There's a lot of things 500$ could buy, find something else. This has some really bad build quality, the wood itself is like powder. I think the only thing holding it together is the paint, I've got screws falling out of pre assembled panels, 2 of the number 11 panels are about an inch shorter than the other wall pannels. Its extremely flimsy, pre drilled holes in the wrong places. If you have a cat more than 5 pounds its liable to rip the screws out of the wood by jumping up on it. I wouldn't give it a 1 star if I didn't have to.

This was a great purchase for a reasonable price. My brother in law and his son put this together in 3 hours. Be prepared to modify the entrance if you are connecting this to a window. If it isn’t flush up against the house, the catio entrance will need a tube from the window to the catio opening. I bought a 10” outdoor rigid HVAC tube and it worked great. To lock the catio you will need very small locks. Tiny. I used zip ties.

Nice idea, but not the best materials. Materials used are very cheap, not very sturdy. Don't lean on. Large amount of bent / broken areas on the fencing. Will have to fix before putting cats in so they don't escape. Not recommended for outside / yard usage, won't last very long exposed to the environment. Not animal proof. Dogs, raccoons could get in very easily. It will definitely have to be reinforced. Nice idea. Instruction booklet definitely needed, also 2 people and definitely a large amount of drill work. Window connection a joke. Had to figure out an alternative way for this to work which wasted hours of time. Again, nice idea but major issues that need addressed.

Good product for the price. A little smaller than I expected but good for an apartment!

Instructions are very pictorial, I wish I had made an assembly video that I could post. Overall kit was complete and easy to assemble.

This is the worse quality product I have ever purchased. I honestly was embarrassed I even spent money on it when I was putting it together. All the pieces were dirty and damaged (wood dented or chipping). The only reason I kept it is because 1) I think if I tried to take it apart it would be beyond damaged 2) it does get the job done, but this is not at all worth almost $200 (with shipping)
