bought this to replace and old extra firm mattress that was starting to give away in the middle and lose support. thin enough to feel flat surface underneath but padded enough that protruding joints/bones arent uncomfortable. way more economical than traditional mattress and much easier to store/move but keep in mind that it needs to be aired regularly to avoid mold especially if it's being used on floor. arrived clean and vacuum sealed with no residual smell. delivered by ups which wasnt a great experience as they kept pushing the delivery date back, ended up having to go to facility and pick it up. not the seller's fault though. if youre looking for a soft/medium mattress this is not the product for you. however if youre used to extra firm or sleep on the foor already this is a great product.

Absolutely garbage. When I opened the box, I noticed item wasn’t shrink wrapped. It was obviously a return they decided to resell, and it’s not even an inch thick. I can’t return it fast enough. Seller should be ashamed of themselves.

I have slept a little over a month long and I am quite pleased with the results. I no longer have trouble sleeping as I only unfold the bed when it’s time to sleep, the comfort level is high for someone like me who always hates soft squishy mattresses, I’ve transitioned from a normal bed to to my makeshift floor bed for a while, eventually I thought to buy a product like this after remembering my travels in Japan. I was hesitant to purchase at first because I was reading some reviews that were negative, but I assure you they are all wrong. So let’s talk about the mattress: it’s beautiful, it’s light, it’s comfortable with no smell. I Have done the measuring thing since I’ve seen some people obsessed about the inches, it was a little over 3. When I unboxed it, I waited 7 days even though the moment I opened it from the vacuum sealed bag it looked comfy. The sheets from the same company also fit perfectly, if you’ve read all the reviews related then you’ll see someone complain, perhaps he did not know how to put sheets in correctly, his looked rather loose. I just want to type forever about how much I’m in love with my new sleeping arrangement. I hope you enjoy this as much as me and I thank the wonderful MIINA company of Japan for sharing this gift with me.

Not even being sarcastic. I'm a big boy, weighing in at 315lbs. I thought getting a futon like this was going to be a nightmare, but it wasn't in the slightest. It holds me up just enough that I can sleep on my back and no feel like I'm on the floor. I wake up with no back pain or leg pain. Obviouslyif I roll over I will feel discomfort, but that's because my arms go numb due to how I side sleep. Not the futons fault. I use this futon in conjuction with the Miina Tatami mat and I think I've made a REALLY good decision. Hope to get lots of good sleep on this. I plan to get a low standing futon platform frame soon.
