Mozart Dark Chocolate Liqueur, 50 cl

Gorgeous. Lovely texture and taste difficult not to fruit by the pint!!

I was stuck on what to get my boyfriend for his birthday and this was perfect. I usually buy him Makers Mark whisky but I had a feeling he was a bit sick of it and wanted to try something a bit different. It's quite a novel drink, a bit pricy for what you get though. It's a lovely and smooth liqueur and so incredibly tasty! It's perfect for cocktails too, I added a bit of cream liqueur to it and some vanilla syrup for a sort of makeshift alcoholic milkshake. Great quality and went down a treat! So velvety.

Undoubtedly chocolatey, but not quite what I was anticipating. I’d therefore suggest, if you haven’t tried this before you’ll need to decide how you plan to drink it before ordering. As others have said, this isn’t a cream liqueur and as a consequence it doesn’t have quite the same richness when drinking neat as something like the Hotel Chocolat or Baileys equivalent. Whilst I could happily polish off injudiciously large volumes of these latter two I’m not so convinced I could say the same of this. Don’t get me wrong, the flavour is excellent, but you almost need to disassociate yourself from the slightly watery quality of the liquid to fully enjoy it neat. I would imagine it could work very well in cocktails although I’m not sure whether to applaud or reproach whoever if was in their marketing department that coined the phrase ‘ideal for CHOC-tails’.

Bought as a present to start a new tradition of having a drink and present on Christmas Eve. It could be challenged as being a little ricj for some but pop a bit of Bailey's in there and you have a fantastic drink - costs me a fortune now for two bottles but when you have a super mother in law nothing is too much.

Not as thick as I thought it would be but tastes good, not as chocolate as I thought but love it anyway on its own or with crushed ice or in hot chocolate or pour over ice cream. Value for money.

Warning for others - this is NOT AT ALL like the Mozart chocolate cream liqueur. I wish I’d read the reviews before buying, because it’s thin, not even slightly creamy and not that sweet. It’s not even particularly chocolatey, reminiscent more of a strong coffee. It probably would make a good cocktail, but I couldn’t drink it neat, and will probably end up throwing it away.

Love this drink in small quantities as a little goes a long way in terms of flavour. Lovely to mix into coffee or cream for puds. Great product at an excellent price

Nice presentation bottle and packaging good. Really like the taste of this liqueur. Great addition to the cocktail cabinet.

Der Mozart Dark Chocolate Likör ist für uns ein echter Genuss. Schön intensiv im Geschmack, deutlich nach dunkler Schokolade – aber dabei nicht zu süß oder künstlich. Die Balance ist wirklich gelungen. Wir trinken ihn gern pur oder auf Eis, funktioniert aber auch super zum Verfeinern von Desserts. Ein Schuss über Vanilleeis oder in den Kaffee – richtig gut. Die Konsistenz ist angenehm cremig, aber nicht zu schwer. Auch der Alkohol kommt dezent durch, ohne zu dominant zu sein – eher wie ein runder Abschluss im Geschmack. Für alle, die dunkle Schokolade lieben und gern mal einen besonderen Likör im Haus haben, ist der definitiv eine Empfehlung. Wird bei uns sicher nachgekauft.
