Bright light
This is very bright; seems well built. I read it was a direct fit for a honda snowblower, but it was too small for mine so I made an adapter to get it to fit. Worked fine - runs on 12V AC output from engine.

Good replacement for the OEM MTD snowblower from 1997
Didn't know if this was going to work or not. Turns out it works great. Very bright and took about 10 minutes to install - most of that was detaching and reattaching the light fixture. Really, really helpful to use a heat gun to soften the rubber body the lamp itself fits into. No need to use the highest heat setting either. Start at low heat and give it 30 - 45 seconds. That all it took using my heat gun. All you want to do is soften that rubber enough so that the lamp pops out and then goes back in easily. Remember to use some dielectric grease on the wire-lamp connections.

This bulb fit exactly in place on my John Deere 4840 rear tractor light housing.
No issues, fit right into old housing on tractor.

Perfect Replacement for 4414 sealed beam on a snowblower
This was an easy drop-in replacement for a 4414 sealed beam on an old snowblower. The Tecumseh engine just provides AC for the headlight, about 13 VAC. I was concerned about the second photo above that only says DC despite the first photo saying AC/DCThe unit I got was marked 12VDC like the second photo above but there was no marking on the terminals for polarity. So I tested it first with power from my car battery. It worked perfectly in either direction, pulling 0.85amps DC at 14.3VDC when connected in either direction. So I figured it would work ok with the snowblower's AC.It does. It fit right in where the old sealed beam was and measured 1.1 amps AC at full throttle on the engine. This was a great upgrade with even, wide illumination, and it is BRIGHT.I did add a 2 amp inline fuse just to protect the engine's stator if something ever went wrong.

Amazing for the price and results!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this for my pool. I replaced both AquaLamp 12V Sealed Bulb (AL14) with these. These are actually a few $$ cheaper and MUCH better. No issues after 1.5 months of use in the pool.- Brighter white (5000k vs incandescent)- Cheaper to run (LED vs incandescent)- Cheaper to replace (this price vs $27)- Longer lasting (in theory because LED but unproven yet).

Brighter safety upgrade for snowblowers
My snowblower had a Wagner 4414 12V 18W bulb, and many make the mistake in repairing it with a more common Sylvania 4411 36W bulb, only to see it work very dimly because the stator from the snowblower only delivers enough current for the original bulb. Since a snowblower lamp won't be on as much as a typical household lamp, LED can be a good option, even if it has a limited lifespan. This PAR36 is a physical drop-in replacement (hint: remove the lamp assembly and work on it indoors so the rubber housing softens up), 15W was the brightest I could get while staying within the expected current load, and was bright enough to use as daytime running lights, making it even safer to operate my snowblower during the day. Unlike the original incandescent blub which is hermitically sealed glass, this LED bulb appears to be two halves glued together with adhesive. This is expected as LED bulbs are generally assembled with their controller components. I think this is fine for small engine use like snowblowers, tractors. I just don't think it's a good idea for these to be submerged into chlorinated swimming pools. They should be able to take a little rain, but a responsible owner is expected to shelter their valuable equipment from the elements anyways. Well packed so unlikely to damage during transit, and the 2 year warranty gives plenty of time to see if the LED circuitry survives the winter.

high quality LED light, much better than previous halogen lamp in my pool
Excellent purchase. One of the halogen lamps (costed ~$100 each) in my pool burned out. Purchased this one - perfect fit at a fraction of cost. The light is a bit whiter than the halogen, but is very bright and pleasant. Will buy again!!!
