How long does the battery last in these calipers?

Depends on how much you use it. For me I only use it a little so the battery has lasted a long time. I have not even had to break out the 2nd battery yet. If you use it every day for 8 hours a day I bet you would have to replace it more often. DUH

What is the smallest inside diameter that I can measure?

Since it starts from zero you can measure 0.1mm but don’t try to force it I know is cheap but it does the job for me
