Great sound
Love product and sound. The strings are more expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Great sounding strings but the A sting tends to fall to pieces pretty quickly

These strings make even a cheap violin sound beautiful. I highly recommend them
While I am by training a cellist, I have been helping my friend learn violin. He purchased a cheap violin (~$40), which consequently came with cheap strings. This A string reduced the whiney sound of the other string, and provided such a warm sound. These strings make even a cheap violin sound beautiful. I highly recommend them, and am excited to see what cello strings they have to offer as I will be needing to restring my cello soon.

Compromised Bow Hair + Premature String Death
I am an experienced event violinist with over 20 years of playing experience. I regularly change my strings and decided to save a little money by purchasing these online (I have probably purchased these 3-4 times in total). Some time back, my bow hair started inexplicably turning a blue-ish black color and began to refuse to get a good grip on the strings no matter what I did.I took it to my favorite luthier and they were all flabbergasted. If a team of folks that look at violins day in and day out are left scratching their heads at something, you know it can't be good. I rehaired my bow and even purchased a different kind of rosin (just in case).Fast forward a couple months and I'm beginning to notice discoloration in my bow hair again. The grip on the strings is also starting to fail, despite application of the new (high quality) rosin.I was beginning to doubt the quality of these so-called "Pirazzi" strings (since they're the only remaining variable) but I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt... until tonight. While practicing, I felt something on the string. I thought, "Did I maybe transfer something from my finger to the string?" But, no.Upon closer inspection, the string is compromised. Already.Granted, this string gets used (...a LOT...) but I don't feel as though its level of use has warranted a worn out string. (NOTE: it might be difficult to see in the image, but it's the best I could do).So, in summation, I'd love to recommend this as a slightly cheaper option for fellow Pirazzi lovers, but just bite the bullet and buy from a reputable brick-and-mortar music store. Your bow hair and fingers will thank you. :)

Evah Pirazzi 4/4 Violin A String
String sounds great but doesn't stay in tune. It has taken two weeks for it to settle in. You also have to use Olive/Evah Rosin if you want the best sound.

Pirastro Evah Pirazzi
These will make you sound great- a very good classical sounding string, sweet, mellow, and focused. It is easy to play with a wide range of dynamics with these.
