Leatherique Leather Rejuvenator/Prestine Clean Pair 32 Oz

It's got a scent to it but it works as intended

I have been using Leatherique for YEARS (decades really) and for some reason this batch smells bloody AWFUL... almost sulfuric. Not just a little off -- friggin' terrible! Unlike any I've ever had. If this was fulfilled by Amazon I would have returned it immediately but since it was fulfilled by another company, returning it was not so easy. I contacted the company and they were quite helpful and even checked another 32 oz package they had in stock confirming the stench. I found the interaction quite professional and was reassured that there was nothing actually wrong with the product, just that for some reason batches are inconsistent smelling and that supposedly Leatherique confirms it.Well as much as I've liked the product over the years, I worry about using something on my ancient leather that is so inconsistent and probably won't order again.For anyone who's never used Leatherique, open the bottle and before you use any of it, take a whiff. If it smells HORRIFYING just return it immediately. I've never had a batch that stank like this one does but I have found other mentions of it on the various old car forums I frequent. I actually like the smell of it normally and the Leatherique website talks about how neutral it is and it doesn't really have an odor etc... Whatever they did to this batch, it's anything but neutral smelling. I don't know how well this batch works because I'm a little on the fence about applying it at this point. I may test it on some extra seats I have lying around the garage before committing to putting it on any of my cars' interiors.

Basically you apply the Rejuvenator first, let it sit in the sun with the windows closed to "bake" for a few hours, allowing the oils to permeate the leather. This helps to lift the soil ground deep in the leather. Then the cleaner is applied as you would any other treatment.The result is leather that comes back to life. I went from a dark gray back to black. The leather feels supple and there is no slippery coating left on the leather. It feels natural.A 32 oz bottle would easily last quite a while if applied twice yearly (as recommended. More if you have the top down a lot!) making it well worth the money.

I have used this product on several of my vehicles from factory fresh leather to 20 y/o neglected seats. This stuff is amazing! Only down side is you really need to dedicate several days for the process and it really needs to be at least 80°.
