Mercury 3.5-40 HP Outboards (1972-1989) Service Repair (Paperback)

The book answers all of the questions that I had and will enable me to service my 40 year old Outboard more easily.The next day delivery was, as usual, awesome.

Well... the book was useful I guess, although you can get the same diagrams free online. I have a 1984 Mercury 3.5hp and didn't find the book as comprehensive as I would have liked.

I have a lot of experiences from manuals, Clymer, Haynes and others, for cars, motorcykles, outboards and inboards. This one is bad in some cases and fair in some. I still don't know how to exchange impeller on my 9,8 Hp 2 stroke Merc from 1972. I will therefore buy a book from Seloc and see if that one is better. If not, I'll use more force to take apart.My impeller looks different to them in the book.On my Honda Goldwing I used both Clymer and Haynes, and that was better than using one of them.

I have ordered Clymer Manual’s before for another motor brand . The brand is a great go to especially for older 2 cycle motors in need of schematics, parts numbers & in-depth list of all your motor needs to diyer’s & professionals as well. A great go to book . I especially liked the option to order one used at a great value in very good condition. You can’t go wrong with Clymer Brand Books . I would recommend these to anyone which I have before . Great help & Great value to have on hand for working in any outboard motor that’s compatible with multiple years & models .

Factory service manual. Does what was expected.

Informative with pics, I do wish there would have been a water/coolant flowcharr, but overall, great producr!

It’s definitely not as detailed as a Merc shop manual but it gets the job done.
