Goodbye Sunburned Lips, Hello Sun Bum!
I used to wonder why my lips always felt burned after sunny vacations, and then I realized — living in the dark for most of the year left my lips unprepared for the sun! Now, Sun Bum SPF 30 Lip Balm is my go-to chapstick every day. It's not just a vacation must-have — it keeps my lips protected and moisturized all year round. No more sunburned lips or dry cracks, just soft, happy lips. If you're in the sun often or just want to keep your lips in top shape, this is the balm you need!

Feels nice and creamy—lips look whitish
Only use on the beach because lips look white.Happy that is a mineral sunscreen. Feels nice and creamy. Protects well.

best mineral spf on the market
Finally. An unscented, unflavored, mineral-only lip balm with a high spf that is actually moisturizing to the lips. It's perfect. Wears completely clear with no bluish-white cast on the lips and is comfortable to wear all day so I don't feel like scraping it off as soon as I come back from my walks like I do with other brands.

A good sun solution for sensitive lips!
Having sensitive lips can be super frustrating. They burn SO easily in the sun. But most sunscreen lip balms on the market irritate them. Those that don't irritate aren't moisturizing at all, so my lips become dry and chapped. Which leads to more sensitivity. Ugh. But so far this Sun Bum SPF 30 has worked for me! No sunburnt lips. No irritation. Enough moisture to keep my lips soft and healthy while working or playing outside. Sure, it's s not really pleasant tasting when it gets in your mouth, and like most zinc-based sunscreens, it makes my lips milky white. But it works for my picky lips and it's a good value for the money--it's become my summertime staple.

Hydrates, leaves a slight white film, not travel friendly
I wear lip balm regularly. As a matter of fact, I always have some with me. Tubes are placed in various areas around my house, I have one in my car, in my backpack and a couple tubes at work. I'm seriously never without it so I kind of consider myself a lip balm expert. The only thing most of the ones I use don't have is SPF. Since I live in an area that is fairly sunny year round, you think I'd be better about that. Well, I'm looking to change that.I saw this Sun Bum SPF 30 Mineral Sunscreen Lip Balm and read some of the reviews. They seemed overwhelmingly positive. I'm familiar with the brand and since it was covered under my HRA, decided to try this one out along with a few others. It glides on easily and moisturizes well, but it left a slight white film on my lips. Not my favorite but it did fade. It's unscented and doesn't have any flavor, which is good. I loathe lip balms with any type of taste to them. Good or bad. It has clean ingredients and offers great sun protection but it doesn't withstand heat itself. If you like to carry one in your pocket, backpack or keep in your car, it will melt.I do like this lip balm but it has some negatives, as stated above. It made my lips feel soft and hydrated but it's not travel friendly. I wouldn't discourage buying it, but if you want a balm to carry around with you, I'd be hesitant to recommend it.

Good
This feels moisturizing and doesn’t make my lips feel dry after it wears off. Yes it’s a little gritty for the first few seconds that you apply it but it warms up on your lips and no texture is felt after that. It feels moisturizing. Hopefully it does its job protecting the lips because I’ve had several pre cancers on my lips from growing up in florida!
