Surprisingly secure! Very happy with YOSH phone holder.
I used this for the first time on a 60km mountain bike ride (5 ish hours of riding) around the South Downs Way in mid-September on very dry, hard, rutted, bumpy, stony tracks and bridleways, edge of field paths and some road sections, so safe to say I gave it a thorough testing on all surfaces!I was sceptical that it would hold my phone securely in place, especially as I have a Samsung Galaxy A21s in a case so it's a very large and heavy phone but it was great. The phone holder performed perfectly and kept my phone securely held in place so I could follow the route I'd mapped out. Everything was really easy to put together and install on my bike. What I really liked was the jaw clamp can be used on larger stems/handlebars. My bike has larger than 35mm stem and handlebars and a lot of the other phone holders I looked at would only fit on 35mm diameter maximum. All the parts were easily adjustable and nicely made, nothing seemed flimsy or that it would break easily.I only really have 2 small gripes, not even complaints really, just things that could be improved. The first is I found it a bit of a pain putting the phone back in the holder but I think that is more to do with the size of my phone (after taking it out to take photos, I could use everything else while the phone is in the holder). I found it difficult to keep the phone between the retracting jaws while trying to hook the elastic straps over the corners of my phone. Mostly because the elastic is quite strong, so when I pulled it over the top 2 corners, it flipped the phone out of the jaws if I didn't put a finger on my phone to hold it in place. I think it would work perfectly well with a smaller phone. Not sure how that could be improved because the rubber holder is purposely offset on the plastic holder so the jaws don't clamp on the buttons on the side of you phone.Second was on really bumpy off-road sections, the ball and socket joint did move position a couple of times but not enough to cause any problems. I think the issue with this is the screw on the back holding the ball into the socket grips straight onto the stretchy rubber phone holder. So however much you tighten the screw on the back, it just squashes the rubber/elastic rather than holding tight. I didn't want to overtighten the screw in case it damaged the rubber holder but I did it up as hard as I could after it moved the second time and it seemed fine after that and didn't move again. The solution to this would be to have hard plastic washers around the central hole on both sides of the rubber so the screw tightens onto something solid and can't work loose when the rubber moves.Overall though this was an amazing bit of kit and I was really impressed with it.

Do not buy if you have an iPhone.
This doesn’t mount very securely to smaller diameter handlebars, it’s obviously designed for the fatter mountain bike bars, and while it does fit it’s not an even grip.Avoid this if you have an iPhone, the clamp is right where the power button is, which just turns it off, or worse, makes an emergency call.If you do manage to jiggle it to work, the first bump hits the power button and the phone goes off.The clamps seem to be easily overpowered by a heavier phone too.It may be fine for other phones though.

Easy to assemble. Does the job it suggests.

easy to fit and so far totally secure
Iphone 6s in Griffin Survivor case fits perfectly well and after 2 bumpy rides of over 20 miles on road and tracks it has stayed exactly where I wanted it to.The only slight addition I made was a wrap of cloth tape around the handle bar beneath the clamp. This simply gave the clamp/bracket more bite on my untaped bars and stopped any chance of it slipping. The silicon band is well designed and strong enough to do its job but only time will tell if it stretches and allows the phone to shake loose. It is supplied with 2 bands. So far I'm extremely happy with this purchase.A very slight addition in terms of constructive Criticism: I’ve hit some pretty bumpy road and track sections and my phone has stayed in place apart from one occasion when the entire assembly rotated around the handle bar. The phone did not fall out or even come loose from the holder I must add .All that is required is a piece of rubber or other material to place around the handle bar so that the mount grips better . I’ve used one that came with my Cat eye lights .Otherwise it’s a great bit of kit

Simple and effective design. Perfect for golf carts.
Have just fired it together, have given it a quick test and can already say this is a perfect mount for a golf trolley. Good price, simple and effective design, just what I needed. I can foresee the rubber parts eroding over time, but no worries because those could easily be replaced by generic elastic bands.I use a free golf app called "golf pad" which works as a range finder and score card. I'll be mounting on my trolley with this. So, for the price of £9 of this mount I'll save myself all kinds of organisational grief out in the course. No more raking around in my pouches for pens and cards, no more basic maths errors, and most importantly saving circa £100+ on a fancy range finder!

Great phone holder but careful how you fit it
This is a great bit of kit, use it daily and it holds the phone well. It does move on its gimbal when you hit rough bits of road but a breeze to adjust back into position. When I first fitted it the tightening wing nut fouled my brake lines when turning handlebars full lock but I was able to adjust yhe setup to stop this. Watch you mount yours to avoid this problem

Bit unsteady
Overall ok

Good
Can be a bit fiddly, but once you get the hand of it it's relatively easy to use. Sits well and doesnt move around , although I'm not going over much if any rough terrain, is very easy to manipulate to the way you want.
