4 Feet Flexible Dual-Wall Adhesive Heat Shrink 1" RED 3:1 Ratio

THANK YOU Lawrence Marine Products. Great vendor, fast delivery, quality heat shrink tubing! I am a multiple repeat customer and love this tubing. I go through it will my builds, projects, and DIY home wire fabrications. I have used other adhesive heat shrink and can say this is the stuff you need to try and use. The other stuff melts off and oozes out. This stuff can take the heat and the adhesive material is superior. I worked as a electronics tech for over 20 years...now doing specialty work.

4.5 stars round up to 5 stars, right? So, why 4.5 stars?- Not pure red...kinda subdued red-pinkish. Not bad, but looks a little off on my red cablesOVERALL- I use A LOT of heat shrink and have tried others...this stuff beats them hands down- Sets up great...I use a heat gun, some guys use torches- A tad on the pricey side, but you get a very good quality product- I go through this stuff like crazy with my solar battery bank and building cables- Not sure if it is UL rated or good around water environments...but, I am sure it is fine

Heavy duty wrap with plenty of adhesive inside. Used to protect crimp connections when I made an 8 AWG Extension to my trolling motor cord. Heated it ( carefully) with propane torch. Note that this is solid stuff. Doesn't flex too much, but with 8 gauge and lower cables, you don't want it to.

It all worked as it should, but this stuff has 'much thinner' walls than what I'm used to buying and using.Didn't care much for the way it's shipped either!A '4 foot' piece of tubing folded over, and over, and over, (can't remember how many times now), then wrapped with a rubber band, so it could fit in a small padded envelope.Those folds turned into permanent creases in the tubing.I would had rather got, 4 'one foot' cut pieces, or 8 'six inch' cut pieces, than this...And again, something with thicker walls!

Perhaps my expectation was too high! It looked good when I finished my cables. On one I made a mistake, I peeled the cover off pretty easy. I could see the residue of the glue and I figured that between the glue and compression of the shrinkage was airtite. The abrasion resistance is yet to be determined. It appears to be consistent on the shrinkage ( I was using a torch) and the shrunken tubing seemed pretty dense. I would buy again if needed.

This shrink doesn't have the manufacturer or country of orgin on it. I am comparing this against 3M brand of shrink tube. It doesn't appear to have quite as much adhesive as my 3M does. However, it is still very adequate for sealing. I am making custom power wires using #4 AWG cable. This is perfect for my purposes and very competitive in price. It gives a "factory quality" appearance. I will be buying more......

Product shrinks well and seems thicker than the others I have ordered. Glue is just right to me. If I need to re-order one this would be my first choice! Very happy with this one and I like the way it is packaged as well. Tube is not crushed.

I wasn't sure there was adhesive inside, but when I heated it...yup, the adhesive ooozed out of each end. Did not have problems with the tubing scorching or burning through, like I've had with other brands of heat-shrink tubing.VERY satisfied.
