Works Great on an Old Dayton Compressor
I was given an old Dayton air compressor that needed a motor. I selected this motor based on research and the reviews and it has been working flawlessly. It is much more quiet than I was expecting too.

Good quality replacement
Great price, have had great luck with Vevor products. Fit was good, was easy install on my air compressor. Saved over $200 over oem motor.

Pulley Retainment
I have not used the motor, yet. I am addressing what should be included in the description. The shaft has no retainment mechanism for the pulley. My old motor had a threaded hole in the end of shaft for a very thick retaining washer and bolt. This is a safety mechanism to keep the pulley from coming off the shaft. Another method is a flat on the shaft with a set screw to retain the pulley. I must now decide to take the motor to a machinist and have it drilled and tapped. I write this so other purchasers will be aware of this before they order. Check your old unit to see how your pulley is retained. I will update this after I speak with a machinist. It may not be worth the trouble. Remember, this is a safety issue, a pulley flying off while under operation is extremely dangerous. Update: I did the tap myself. I have used the unit for at least 12 hours. I shut it down frequently as I feel it emits more heat than my older unit. It does seem to have good 'pooper' or muscle. First photo: difference in motor wiring and supplied diagram. Solved. Second photo: shaft with pulley & retaining bolt after I tapped & threaded. Third photo: pully on shaft before my tap & thread. This was about a 3 week set back for me; but I'm up & running. 👍🙏

5 hp Vevor compressor motor.
Ad described. Well packed, arrived on time. Have not yet installed, will update after installing if value is sub-par.

Easy, drop in replacement for a much more expensive motor.
Motor was installed on a Quincy air compressor where the Baldor motor had failed. Easy install, and the motor fired right up at first ask. Installed outdoors under a shed roof. I hope it lasts me 5+ years. It cost me $150. The Baldor replacement was $700.
