Straight and to the point - Get Your Brain Back
I preordered this book because I was so pleased with Vonda's first book, Fitness After 40. I finally got it on August 25 and I read it cover to cover on a plane trip from Pittsburgh to Miami on August 26. I love it. The layout is appealing and draws you in immediately. The book is a step by step guide to improving the quality of your life, especially at mid-life. It gives you easy to follow exercises to perform and thought provoking exercises to assess the quality of your life and what you want out of life. The book is a workbook of sorts, so you commit to the plan by writing down what you want to achieve. I have found that writing down anything helps to manifest the outcome. I was also bowled over by the practical tips on eating. Vonda even gives you what she eats over the course of a week and tips on getting it on the table fast with no excuses. Love it. I am a busy, harried professional who has followed Vonda's recommendations for years. People say I look to be in my 30's - early 40's when I will turn 60 next April. The one thing that I do need help on is my memory and that is why I waited so expectantly for this book. I have already started doing the warm-up exercises and have started doing more intense workouts to boost my brain activity. I will post again in 2 months with an update. In the meantime, get this book if you are starting to wonder where your memory went. My parents' names appear as the reviewers when their youngest daughter has written this review. Couldn't figure out how to change it.

Still conflicted
Great all around fitness book. Covers well rounded work out routines. Covers the importance of exercising brain as well as body, having goals , learning anything new. I'm not in agreement, once again on her presentation on necessity of food supplements. Good resources for additional information, food diaries, and morning.

Dr. Wright is an amazing doctor. I have had the privilege of being a patient of hers too. She is a great doctor and has the best personality of any physician I have ever met. She listens to you and makes you feel so important. Her book is great. she knows what she's talking about.

Great book. Exercises that can be done at home when there isn't the time to go to a gym or money for a membership. Author's passion for her work is truly obvious throughout the book.

really not liking it
I had seen this recommended and got it, but I really don't like either the layout or the content. It's more a work book style where you write down lists/goals. The exercises aren't anything new or special and there's really not a whole lot of information. I know she's a doctor but the book is written in a tone where the reader is talked down to, yet also there's a fake perky tone "EAT=ing and MOVE-ing and THRIVE-ing"
