When you first plug it in, it seems to work fine. But, I had it plugged in next to the bed to charge overnight, with a headphone plugged into the jack. If I put on the headphones later to listen to music and start up the audio, the sound will annoyingly come out of the iPhone speaker instead of the headphone. You have to unplug and plug back in, to restore it to the headphone, and even that doesn't work all the time, and have to try a few times. Returning this one.

I didn't realise for the longest time, but when connecting Apple headphones to this adapter the microphone is attenuated so much that it's fundamentally useless for voice calling. Also, the audio quality isn't as good as the Apple headphones. Do not buy. Look elsewhere.

Works just fine just don’t leave it in the hot car it wouldn’t work for me on several occasions where it’s been very hot. I’m sure that goes the same for cold weather.

False advertisement, this was described as being Apple certified and there is no way that’s possible. It was an absolute piece of junk. The sound was horrible and full of static and it would play the song on fast forward and then skip songs.

Amplifies sound so the isolation on this device is not very good. But it does work.
