Does the squishy palm padding extend to the wrist strap? I need carpal padding for pushups, etc.

No, the wrist straps are only that. the padded palm does cover the palm from the fingers down to the bottom of the palm.

Will these help from putting pressure on a module that’s developed on the underside of my index finger?

I’d say yes from my experience. It helps support all five fingers as it gets support from the wrist with the Velcro hugging on it. It’s very supportive and encourages heavier lifts.
