Very good product. Birchwood is the best! I recommend not ever using steel wool. The tiny particles of steel wool will start to appear as rust on the metal before you can get it dry from the rinse. Less than 5 minutes! Use Shine Brite pads or 3M ultra fine instead of steel wool. Very shiny clean metal that will take a decent blue job.

Awesome, easy to use kit. Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully. Helped me refurbish my dad's old shotgun, the metal looks much better and I'm hoping that it helps with the rust!

Everything is there, and instructions are great. My boyhood .22LR, circa 1957, looks like new. And it still shoots true.

I bought this kit to strip and re-blue a 26 inch double barrel shot gun - just the barrel assembly, not the receiver or other parts. This kit was just enough to do five coats on the barrels. I think I would have preferred to hit them 2 or 3 more times to be perfect, but the results were much better than I expected. I was very happy with the outcome.

After purchasing this product at an already great price, I found it for a couple dollars cheaper. I contacted the Birchwood Casey Company and told them this. By a day later they refunded me those couple dollars back to my account. I will seek Birchwood Casey products from here on out for that fairness in doing business.

I used it to blue my shotgun. Follow directions and you won't go wrong.
